#liftingtechnique #watercolortechniques #sennilieraquarellchallenge It is best to do wet on wet. Keep a rag or papertowel handy. Draw with water exactly what you want lifted, one stroke on the paper, one dab on papertowel . I like the French #sennelierwatercolors for this technique as they are mixed with honey which makes them easier to blend. Practice this technique and others in my #introtowatwatercolor class Mondays and Tuesday in my studio in Adams Morgan. Beginners welcome. First wee painting to sell in Ireland without trying. Relaxing in the well fabled @nationalartsclub, I met the illuminated writer Kieran Delaney who bought it for a young friend who he was encouraging in her art work. Sweet man, sweet gesture.
