🌿 I finally went to visit @gibsident thanks to @heritageopendays , and whyyyy did I wait so long?? 🍂 What a place! 🌱 I took the long walk round (green route) and there is so so much more to see than I expected. 🍂 I’d painted the chapel for someone a while ago, but hadn’t seen it in real life. It did not disappoint! 🍃 The Banqueting House and Chapel crypt aren’t usually open, but they are occasionally, and I hit lucky! The Banqueting House is unbelievably beautiful. Those arches 😍 🍁 There were tours of the crypt to learn about the people buried down there. Yes you can see the coffins… I had no idea they’re linked to @thebowesmuseum where I was recently. 🍂 I didn’t see one bit of single use plastic, well done @nationaltrust 💚 I found some leaves and printed them as soon as I got home. taken in Gibside - National Trust by @pollyord
