It’s been six months since I got Polly. For this occasion, she allowed me to post on her account... just this once. 😉

I wanted to have a dog for a very long time, but I kept telling myself that my life and work weren’t compatible with having one. Then one day I realised that no choice is also a choice, so I made this decision.

I won’t pretend it was easy. Developing a routine, toilet training, teaching Polly to stay home alone, dealing with barking and biting... there were many moments when I doubted whether I would ever manage.

Yet, not a single regret.

I’ve adjusted my routine. I do with Polly everything I possibly can, and I’ve reduced the things that don’t fit life with a dog. But it has never felt like giving something up. It has simply brought me happiness.

Polly is a master of mischief, an expert-level thief, a drama queen, and a source of endless opinions. But not only.

She is my companion who shares every moment of my life.

She follows me from room to room like a little shadow.

She makes me laugh on the most ordinary days.

She has made me more sociable, and I’ve met many wonderful people through her.

She grounds me and reminds me what really matters.

She has made everyday life feel richer.

Thank you, Polly, for being with me.

I love you endlessly. ❤️
