Happy New Year! Hope you all had a safe and amazing night! 2018 was such an amazing year. *************************************************************
Looking back, one of my greatest highlights or adventures this year was that #SpidermanTrain. @jace71889 gave me a heads up about it and I wasted no time in going to see it for myself. Then a few weeks later, I came back after Spider-Man was released with an idea in my head. The photos I got to take that day were beyond anything I imagined and the community response blew me away. So, since it’s 1/1 and I’m just relaxing today, I wanted to put all those photos in one post for you to see and, if you hadn’t had chance to see them all, here they are. Enjoy and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Swipe for all the photos ➡️➡️➡️

What would Peter Parker do? *************************************************************

Day 11 of #rectrocollectember brings me to my latest collectors edition and also my latest gaming memory. The hype surrounding this game really ramped up over the past month. When I took a trip to see the Spiderman train a few weeks ago, I was beyond impressed. I had never seen, and it’s possible never will see, anything like this again. A game with this much hype that can live up to it really inspired me. I needed to get a shot with this game but how was I gonna do it? Then, as I’m swinging through the city in the game, I swing by Times Square and that’s when it hit me. I gotta get to that train...... taken in Grand Central Terminal by @polybits_

Is Spiderman Game Of The Year? *************************************************************
Day 17.....more than halfway through. Didn’t have time this weekend to do my prep work cause of this sinus infection but, good thing I had some pics in the queue. This is pic 2/3 of my Little Spider-Man train shoot from last weekend. This might be a new gaming memory but it’s definitely something I’ll never forget.....walking through the city with my PS4 in my bag and hoping to get one good shot....quite the natural high to have come out with 3. When I showed these to my nephew, the biggest Spider-Man fan, he said, and I quote, “This game has changed the way gaming will be in the future.” He’s 8 years old and has it all figured out. Hope you all had a great weekend. *************************************************************

The Pokémon era hit just as I was aging out of it… but Pokémon Snap was different.

Something about timing the perfect shot, discovering hidden reactions, and having your photos graded just clicked with me. It’s still one of the only Pokémon games I own — but the memories are real.

And honestly… if this came out when I was a kid, this Kodak would’ve been my go-to Pokédex.

Merry Halloween Everybody!

Sometimes Christmas comes on Halloween… and sometimes Facebook Marketplace actually works. 👀🎃

Picked this up as part of a bundle, and apparently the owners were just trying to clear everything out. I couldn’t believe the overall condition of this game — let alone everything else that came with it. 😳

Happy to add this long box classic to the collection. Survival horror never looked so good. 🧟‍♂️📀

Now the real question:
If you asked who lets the dogs out in ‘99, you should have been asking that question in ‘96.

Retro gods: +1
My wallet: -1
Inventory space: ???

What’s your best (or worst) surprise bundle pickup story?

Back in the day, you’d walk up to a McDonald’s counter, and there they were — those perfectly displayed toys you couldn’t wait to get your hands on. These Console Heroes sets hit that same nostalgic nerve in the best possible way.

I completed the Sega Genesis wave, and I have to say, this is such a cool concept. From Street Fighter II and Altered Beast to the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy, each diorama captures a moment that defined an era.

The Villains Pack, designed like a Genesis console that opens up to display every character, is a standout. Plus, it even includes a storage tray for all the cartridges — something I wasn’t expecting but absolutely love.

All in all, this line just makes me smile.

Huge shoutout to @consoleheroes for bringing these memories back to life. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Twenty years of God of War — that’s wild. I still remember seeing the first one on PS2 and being blown away by how intense it was.

This 20th Anniversary DualSense feels like a perfect tribute — clean, powerful, and unmistakably Kratos.

Haven’t played Ghost of Yotei yet, but this Collector’s Edition might be one of the best-looking ones in years.
The mask alone feels like a piece of art. The mask feels like something straight out of an art gallery — heavy, detailed, and made to stand out.

I do miss when Collector’s Editions actually came with the game, though. Sony went from steelbooks and vouchers to just vouchers. The good old days of full editions are long gone.

This gold variant really surprised me. It’s easily one of the nicest DualSense designs Sony’s done. Simple, but it glows.

Haven’t played enough Ghost of Yotei, but I love the look of it.

This controller nails that vibe perfectly.

Never too late to try new things that are old. 🚗💨
I wasn’t even aware this Namco controller existed — probably because of my Sega loyalty back in the day. Even though I was buying PlayStation games, I drew the line at peripherals… for the most part. (Not really, but still)

From what I read, this black variant was exclusive to Japan, while the white one actually came out in North America.
Looking forward to giving it a proper test drive with Ridge Racer.
