Big Thanks for Millennium Foam for displaying one of our boards at the 2026 Boardroom Show. Best foam out there! Thanks Sally, Angie and Luke for setting my account up! Ended up getting my daughter her first piece of foam to shape at the show. Looks like there will be another shaper on this planet. Made my wifey happy too. The Boardroom Show is happening this weekend in Del Mar, California!

This year’s Best of Show competition is all about Big Wave Guns, with some incredible boards on display—including a 10-foot Polyester Pig Big Gun!

Always look forward to this show. Where else can you get so many talented surfboard builders, incredible boards, and decades of shaping knowledge all under one roof?

The latest offering out of the shop - A 10’0” PointMaster model with a bone-white opaque resin bottom and a foam swirl deck that brings just the right amount of clash and mayhem.

Glassed in all 6 oz fabric, finished with a glass-on Sparky fin hanging just a little off the back for that classic glide and hold. We built a lot of these through the ’80s and ’90s, and after enough waves, fin research, and “test pilots,” we got them dialed in pretty good.

The gold pinlines really make it pop — that’s pop with one “o,” not two… get your head out of the whitewash.

When you’re creating an Acid Splash — also known as a Foamy, Swirl, or Abstract — you basically have two possible outcomes:

Incredibly beautiful… or incredibly ugly.

Anything in between is just another blah blah blah abstract. And “in between” usually means one of four things:
it’s going to take a while to sell, it’s going to need a discount, it might become a rental, or suddenly it’s a “team rider board.” Funny how that works.
Well… this one didn’t exactly come out the way we expected.
Our pinliner Rick called it “Riders on the Storm.”
I call it “Blah Blah Blah.”
I was attempting to make a wave in resin. Apparently the resin had other plans.

Let’s see what happens after the pinlines go on. Sometimes your pinliner is your best friend… and sometimes he’s the guy that solves the ugly crime scene. by @polyesterpiglongboards
