The North Boys showed up 😤

So good to get a session in with the little (Big 🙄) tokos before they commence their SPP and State Champs trials. Very coachable group and have an overall get after it mentality 💯

Another Poly Hoops campaign in the books! We are looking forward to seeing our athletes in action and bring on future clinics!

October South Camp in action! by @polyhoopss

Back in 2024, while competing in an AAU tournament, I noticed the lack of Polynesian representation in Basketball. Already Basketball hasn’t been showcased as your typical Polynesian sport, so it’s hard for the youth to find influence and motivation from respected athletes within the sport.

This realisation inspired the idea to create a Basketball clinic driven to inspire and drive the next generation of Polynesian talent, through Poly Hoops.

Alongside Polynesian players @jaadase and @marcusinu_ , we were able to collaborate a very successful first camp in the October of 2024 and Poly Hoops has continued to move on the incline ever since.

Fast forward to now, in the Fatherland! Being a Tongan who has always been excited to embrace my culture and customs, I had the privilege of finally visiting Tonga and meet the local kids who take part in Basketball. It was great to see the kids giving it their all and having fun.

Having the opportunity to get amongst the locals and enjoy the program hosted by Seta and the @poly.sportsacademy , makes me grateful that the Poly Hoops team and myself have the ability to give back to our people and motive our future Poly Ballers!

What an awesome opportunity it was to check out the Tonga College 'Atele stadium 🇹🇴

Special thanks to Seta from @poly.sportsacademy for welcoming me to the open scrimmage. It was amazing to get a run with the locals and have some laughs ❤️

Experiences like today make me very proud to be a Polynesian in Basketball! by @polyhoopss

After a very successful April Campaign, Poly Hoops is proud to announce that profits made from both North and South camps have been donated to the "Akanesi Mataitonga Trust"

A total of $1,560 has been donated to this foundation, to help young children in the Kingdom of Tonga with Sporting, education and household supplies.

It has been an absolute pleasure working along side this foundation and we look forward to working with them in the near future 🙏🏽

If you would like to spread the love and donate, reach out to them on Facebook or visit their website www.mataitonga.com

April campaigns are in the books ✅

A massive congratulations to all the athletes hard work! We hope you guys picked up skills to add to your game but also a sense of empowerment. Poly Hoops is designed to Influence and advertise Polynesian talent, but to have a sense of where you come from and using your powerful background to your advantage is our number one priority.

To the Parents! Having your involvement and encouragement with the athletes is much appreciated by Poly Hoops.

To the best Photographer and Videographer in the business @ericpaulgoldie . We are super grateful to have you capture pics and vids for our athletes to look back on 🙏🏽 Big shout out to our caterer for keeping our athletes full throughout south camp.

Lastly to our coaches!
Having our athletes have someone who they can relate to in Basketball is such a blessing, that not only helps develop their game but their mindset to see that there are no limits when it comes to getting to the next level. Thank you Marcus, Jonah, Alira and Tala.

North camp done and dusted!
Smaller group this camp, that means more individual focus. The boys smashed out two days of guard and post work both on the offensive and defensive side. Super excited to see what these boys can produce on the court this WABL season 😤

Poly Hoops is coming down to Striker Leeming fitness on the 22nd and 23rd of April for our last week of Holiday camps.
