🌿A week to connect, discover and kick things off together!

Last week, our Bachelor of Science students headed to Roiffé for their Integration Week, a great opportunity to get to know one another and start building the strong sense of community that will shape their time at École Polytechnique 🤝

From team challenges and group activities to shared moments, the week was all about team spirit, collaboration and creating lasting memories. 💫

And the X26 story continues! ✨

After introducing our French and international French-speaking students, it is time to shine a light on another group: our non-French speakers 🌍

For them, starting this new chapter is an enormous challenge. They have moved to a new country, discovered a new culture and are now learning a new language so they can pursue a degree taught in French...!

Their first week has already been quite an adventure: arriving in France, settling into their "one-week home", discovering the campus and getting to grips with everything they need to know about life in France, from administrative procedures to, for some, quite a few vaccinations 💉

And today, they are heading off to our partner institution for several months of intensive French language training.

This training will help them gain the confidence and language skills they need to feel more comfortable and independent in their everyday lives, communicate with ease and make the most of their experience at École Polytechnique.

To our X26 non-French speakers, we wish you "bon courage" for the months ahead and see you in January… and this time, we will be saying hello in French! 😉 by @polytechniqueparis

From all over the world, you have arrived at École Polytechnique to start a new chapter and we are so happy to have you here!

🛒The trip to a certain famous Swedish home-furnishing store is done, the rooms are (hopefully) set up, and l'X is ready to become your new home away from home.

Now it’s time for new discoveries, exciting projects, unforgettable moments and a lot of memories!

Bienvenue à la promotion X26 !

Nos nouveaux élèves ont été accueillis par leurs ainés et ont commencé à découvrir le campus au rythme des traditions et de la marche au pas.

Une semaine intense, pleine de bonne humeur, de rencontres, de chants et de premiers souvenirs.

Maintenant, place à plusieurs mois de challenges, de découvertes et de dépassement de soi…

With the @mox_polytechnique presentation taking place today, what better time to look back at this year’s MX Gala? ✨

Organised by the students of the @master_polytechnique, this beautiful event is a special moment for the entire MX community to come together, bringing current sudents, alumni and members of the AX community around the same table.

🔥 This year’s theme, “Excellence Beyond Borders,” celebrated the diversity of cultures and backgrounds that make up the MX community and, with the programme turning 10 (!!!) this year, it was also a chance to celebrate the community that has grown around it over the years and the connections that continue long after graduation.

A big congratulations to the MoX team for organising such a wonderful evening and bringing the community together 👏

🏆 Les maths à l’X, ça se joue aussi à l’international.

Direction la Bulgarie 🇧🇬 pour notre délégation, composée de quatre élèves du Cycle ingénieur polytechnicien, qui a participé à l’International Mathematics Competition 2026 (IMC) du 27 juillet au 2 août.

Et les résultats sont assez simples : 4 élèves, 4 First Prizes 🔥

Et même un Grand First Prize pour Georges T. (X25) qui termine 5e au classement général avec 82 points ...!

Et ce n’est pas tout : Aymane B. , également élève de la promotion X25, décroche un Second Prize !

Bravo à toute la délégation, Pierre O. (X25), Paul P.(X24), Melvil T.(X25) et Georges T. (X25) ainsi qu'Aymane B. (X25) et un tout grand merci au département de Mathématiques de l’X, qui prépare chaque année une délégation d’élèves du Cycle ingénieur et du Bachelor afin de leur permettre de prendre part à cette compétition internationale👏 by @polytechniqueparis

⚔️ Félicitations à nos 9 élèves-officiers de la promotion X24, qui ont brillamment réussi la préparation à l’examen d’accès à la QIA2-R (Qualification Interarmes de niveau 2) !

🪖 En parallèle de leur cursus, ils ont fait le choix de s'engager volontairement dans cette formation dispensée par l'ESORSEM sur le campus de l'X, afin d'approfondir leur connaissance des enjeux de la Défense et de développer les compétences propres aux officiers des Armées.

Après sept mois de formation alliant enseignement à distance et sessions encadrées, ils ont brillamment réussi l'examen final 🎉

👏 Cette réussite leur ouvre désormais la voie vers l'obtention du diplôme d'officier de réserve spécialiste d'état-major (DORSEM), à l'issue d'un stage pratique de trois semaines en août.

🙏 Un tout grand merci à l'ESORSEM, ainsi qu'à toute l'équipe pédagogique, pour son accompagnement tout au long de cette préparation. by @polytechniqueparis

🚗💨 Paris’s limited traffic zone: Cleaner air? Not so fast!

Fiona, from our @master_polytechnique & Emma, from @tu.muenchen, studied its impact; fewer cars in the city center… but worse air quality overall!

Their research, presented at the @traconference2026 and coming soon to @springernature, proves we need smarter, city-wide mobility solutions.

🎉 Congratulations to Hong Wang (X2010 and Honorary Doctor of École Polytechnique) on being awarded the 2026 Fields Medal, the highest international distinction in mathematics!

Following the Clay Research Award and the New Horizons in Mathematics Prize, the Fields Medal recognizes her outstanding contributions to harmonic analysis, advancing the frontiers of mathematical knowledge 🤩

🇫🇷 Pour la Patrie, les Sciences et la Gloire ⚔️

Hier, nos X2025 et les cadres militaires de l'X ont défilé sur les Champs-Élysées.

Chaque pas, chaque mouvement a été le fruit d’un travail collectif et d’une préparation exigeante.

Défilants comme remplaçants, élèves comme cadres, malgré la chaleur, ils sont restés concentrés jusqu’au bout pour offrir un défilé impeccable ! 🔥
