𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻?
With humble beginnings in 2012, the International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) has grown into an annual event: the place where the cargo bike world comes together.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?
The 2026 show takes place in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on 12-13 Oct.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿?
While the ICBF is aimed at professionals, anyone with an interest in cargo bikes is welcome.

Expect professionals from the cycling, logistics and fleet management industries, and from a range of other sectors, such as facilities. Government and the voluntary sector are also represented, as are investors, designers and more.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁?
There's an expo with cargo bike builders, as well as those representing all aspects of the cargo bike industry.

Cargo bikes, trikes and quads, software, services, components. From scrappy startups to slick established players and everything in between.

And don't forget the test track.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲?
There's also a jam-packed on-stage programme of speakers, panels and workshops covering diverse topics relating to cargo bikes and cycle logistics.
Plus, rapid-fire pitch sessions from exhibitors and insightful industry side-events.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴?
This is what the ICBF is all about. Getting everyone under one roof. Creating the conditions where people can have quality conversations that lead to real-life collaborations.

𝚂𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎, 𝚍𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎, 𝚙𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚕. 𝙼𝚎𝚎𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚒𝚋𝚋𝚢 𝙱𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚐𝚘 𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚎𝚛.

It's a heavy-duty flatbed trailer built to move large, bulky and unusual loads. The flat, unobstructed load bed takes overhanging loads of up to 200 kg with ease.

Turntable steering and overrun brake means it's stable under load and easy to handle, while standard industry and bike components mean the trailer is robust and can be serviced or repaired in any local bike workshop.

THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE MORE YOU CARGO — Tom ( @pomtarr ), co-organiser of @cargobikefest , will join co-hosts @kristyspark⁩ & @jonwoodroof TOMORROW, the 9 September, 2026 at 14:00 CET for Episode N°59 of @themechanicsofjoy !

Hailing originally from the UK, Tom got his start in audio design installing recording studios and later installed bike racks in London and beyond with @cyclehoop .

After a stint teaching kids how to ride bikes in Australia and touring through New Zealand he found his way to the Netherlands.

Now more than a decade into living the Lowlands life here in the Netherlands, he’s (almost!) fluent in Dutch, promotes bikes as a true alternative to cars and is raising two young boys with his wife, @amarinsmaantje ❤️

He’s also a colleague of ours at @twotoneams , has a brilliant taste in music and is the publisher of Carrier, a magazine featuring human-centred stories of people who ride cargo bikes, with a new issue pending in the spring.

Tomorrow we’ll talk community, (cargo) bikes, navigating your way as a migrant and taking the long way round when finding your calling as an adult.

Is Hamburg a Cargo Bike City?

With this question in mind, Tom Parr, co-organizer of the International Cargo Bike Festival, traveled to Hamburg this year and visited local manufacturers including NÜWIEL.

In the latest edition of the Carrier Magazine he shares his impressions about his trip and highlights the versatility of the cargo bikes around the world. The Carrier covers stories how cargo bikes were used to help people affected by the floods in Valencia, to transport home appliances and fresh food in Chile or to accompany long-distance tours through Mongolia and Norway.

...or even better, don't use single-use plastics.

And if you do, don't drop them on the beach. That's just basic.

@CocaCola you should be doing much more than just encouraging customers to recycle on bottle tops.
.
First you "reduce", then comes "reuse" and only then should you recycle. What are big businesses like Coca-Cola doing to reduce the amount of plastic they produce?
.
Why is this still a convenient option that people are presented with? What alternative choices are they giving people? Drastic action is required.

Cycling isn't just a sport for me. Aside from my work at @raphaamsterdam I also co-organise the annual International Cargo Bike Festival (@cargobikefest) and write for various organisations involved in urban cycling.
.
So why do I #choosecycling? It's win-win-win:
🚲 For people's health: physical and mental.
🚲 For beautiful, liveable cities with breathable air and equity in space and mobility.
🚲 For replacing short trips by car for all.
🚲 For taking delivery vans off the road and replacing them with smiling delivery riders on #cargobikes, especially for the first and last mile.
🚲 For safe streets that allow free-range children.
🚲 For the environment. Because the status-quo can't continue.
🚲 And most compelling of all, for fun, because cycling is simple and joyful.
.
Four years ago this month I moved to Amsterdam because I think it's the greatest cycling city in the world. I don't regret it for a moment.
