POOLHOUSE: LIVE @ PACKED IN AT THE PACK HORSE X

feel like Poolhouse are a quintessential kinda of mucky pup sounding band. They have that west coast, sun soaked garage punk feel that has dominated a lot of our lineups. Jay Reatard is alive and well and writing songs about Otley. From the landline mics (shocked to find out this wasn’t a @contact.buzz job) to the merciless tempos and scratchy vocals that sit over the top, this song in particular gets me really excited to see what they’re capable of. Need more bands in Leeds that are just so fun & carefree to watch without feeling like they’re forcing it or taking it for granted.

NEWS TIME

We've only gone and done it again and had a lineup change. BUT...

In March this year Poolhouse recorded 12 songs in the basement of @call3mb's uni house using the bare minimum equipment - a handful of mics, a telephone for vocals and a cranked amp from Argos. To top it off we recorded a film of the entire recording process, complete with interviews, rig rundowns and a friendly cat that wouldn't leave us alone.

Originally supposed to be an LP, we've split it up into three singles and two four-song EPs.

While we say goodbye to our rhythm section @call3mb and @jack0r7 their contributions to the band will be permanent in these coming releases.

Our single "Pool Party In Hell" is expected to release in the next few months
Stay tuned and dig the fuck in 🌊 taken in Pool Party by @poolhousetheband
