This raccoon is as hanging outside the studios one night on my walk home. The painting is spoken for, but will have plenty other options at Open Studios the first weekend of October. I’ll be in suite 417 this year, on the top floor of @1890bryantstudios which houses loads of talented artists. Come visit. by @poopingrabbit

Coming to @fayesvideo Bench Gallery next week are the amazing works by Oakland artist @kalincasey , who writes in part of her statement :
“Almost Human” evolved from an ongoing project to downsize the family home where I grew
up. This effort necessitated weeks of digging through attic storage and many things I had left
behind. As a child, I was obsessed with stuffed animals. I had hundreds, including many
inherited from elders, and much of my allowance went toward building that menagerie. So, when
I began the attic exploration, I knew that a sizeable chunk of the project would be sorting through
countless old toys.
One of those toys depicted here. Show officially opens August 25th and runs through part of October. We will hold a reception midway through so keep your eyes peeled for more details soon. by @poopingrabbit
