If knowledge is power, then what is the impact of the knowledge of God in our lives?

The Bible answers this in Daniel 11:32:
“Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.”

To carry out great exploits simply means to do great things or achieve significant accomplishments.

This was our discussion in last week’s Bible study.

We said that the image of God is created to be in a position where we can know Him. As the image of God, your preoccupation should be to know God and be a theater of His works—in other words, to mirror or reflect Him. Therefore, we must remain fixed on God in order to mirror Him. The moment we step out of position, we begin to reflect something that is not of God.

We also explored how knowledge is processed:
1. Awareness – becoming conscious of the truth.
2. Retention – keeping it before your eyes.
3. Meditation – constantly thinking about it until it enters your heart.
4. Belief – fully accepting it as truth and becoming one with the knowledge.

It is only when we reach this final stage that we can truly mirror God.

This is one of the main reasons why many people fall away from Christianity and struggle to see the hand of God in their lives.

Mark 4:1-20 illustrates this concept well, showing how the condition of our hearts determines how we receive and retain God’s word.

The problem today is that Christians are not pursuing the knowledge of God; instead, we chase after shoes, houses, cars, fame, and other material things. As a result, many ask, “Where is God?” or “Who is God?”—all because we are out of position, reflecting the world instead of Him.

We invite you to join our Bible study community so we can grow together in the knowledge of God!

Then Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.’” (John 5:19-20)

Indeed, the life of Jesus Christ was a marvel, but remember, He did not leave us behind. He said that if we believe in Him, we will do greater works. The secret to this is found in the scripture above.

As the Imago Dei (Image of God), our sole purpose is to reflect what we see God do.

We all know the powerful results that follow when one grasps this understanding and walks in it. What a transformation that will be! This is why, for the past few weeks, our discussions on the Image of God have focused on this position. We have been given the uncommon capacity to connect with, contain, and express God based on our position as the Sons of God or the Image of God.
