Midsummer Midwest

This past summer we wanted to remind ourselves of what makes our home here in Indiana so special. The people we call friends, the artists and community members who inspire us, and all the goodness a summer here has to offer. We teamed up with former Hoosier florist Maria Cecilia Darling Young of Darling & Daughters on her summer visit to create an entirely wild foraged floral scape. Ditches off the side of the road, untouched clearings in town, friends yards and gardens, and finally some florals from our friend’s small farm Mini of Woods. We called upon our favorite clients and friends asking them to model with their individual style sense for us. All sustainable sourced pieces from our shop or their personal closest. Styled by Office Clothier with photos made on film by Garrett Ann. Shot entirely in the historic Showers Brother Furniture Company in downtown Bloomington, Indiana.

Here is to the endless possibilities of being queer in a midwest summer.

happy anniversary to my love, Zachary. twelve years and so much to show for all the intentionality and care you approach all things with. grateful to have grown by your side. time/s is crazy, but so am I so I’m grateful for the partner I found in you. we’ve done it entirely our way and I wouldn’t change a thing. the worlds biggest @dollyparton fan, greatest uncle, friend, community member, and loving partner.

10 years of adventures and always doing it our way. So much growing, unlearning to learn again, and fun has filled these 10 years and I’m grateful to have Zachary by my side for it. If you know Zachary you probably love him too. He’s compassionate, thoughtful and will do just about anything for the ones he loves.
