At The HausIM, we’re dedicated to preserving, amplifying, and advancing underground ballroom culture by supporting and empowering the creative artists and community at its core. Founded by Iris and Myles Telfar in 2025, our mission uplifts the visionaries who keep this movement alive — ensuring their contributions are celebrated and sustained. Through financial aid, mentorship, and collective resources, we provide funding to support ballroom artists, houses, and community initiatives.

Our programs include:
✨ The Coin: Monthly micro-grants for competition preparation.
✨ Community Engagement & Sponsorship Fund: Supporting events that strengthen the scene.

Join us in celebrating and sustaining the vibrant legacy of ballroom. Visit thehausim.net to learn more and get involved. Let’s keep the culture alive and thriving!

CATEGORY IS… EXECUTIVE REALNESS. 💼✨

The HausIM is growing, and we’re looking for someone to help us keep the werk moving.

We’re hiring a Programs & Creative Assistant to work closely with us across programming, administration, communications, creative projects, events, and the many moving pieces that come with building an institution.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, community-rooted, organized, thoughtful, proactive, and down to werk. Someone who understands ballroom, cares about the people who make it what it is, and is excited to bring their own perspective, skills, and ideas to The HausIM.

This is a part-time, six-month contracted role at $38.50/hour for approximately 15 hours/week, with potential for extension.

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to work behind the scenes of an organization committed to building for and with our community — this might be your category.

Applications are now open.

Full role description + application available on our website.
