Aperture is a sculptural trio of oil-burning candles, featuring rough patinaed exteriors and mirror-polished interiors. The reflected flame creates an illusion between direct light and reflected glow, inviting contemplation on perception and presence while honoring metal’s historic role as a reflective surface used before the invention of modern mirrors.

Aperture | 2025

I am excited to be a part of this group show and to show my work alongside the other amazing artists and designers. The theme is reflections both metaphorical and physical.

Aperture is a sculptural trio of oil burning candles, featuring dark patinaed exteriors and mirror polished interiors. The reflected flames create an illusion between direct light and reflected glow, inviting contemplation on perception and presence while honoring metal’s historic role as a reflective surface used before the invention of modern mirrors.

This project was a learning process both in craft and business. If you want to see more of my design process for this project, that will be on display at the Women in Design Exhbition at Gantri opening this Friday June 6th at 6pm. @womenindesignsf

Thanks to all my friends who helped out with this project - giving me production advice, lending me their 3D printers, photography for me, watching me spray paint, dealing with my absence while I’ve been absorbed working on this, and to my roommate for putting up with my late nights turning our apartment into a studio.

Thuma Essential Bed | 2024

I worked on the design of Thuma’s Essential Bed. The purest form of the platform bed, with clean lines and a continuous design. Interior Japanese joinery and hand screws provide a smooth look and streamlined set-up. Crafted from solid upcycled rubberwood.

Thuma Product Visualization | 2023

I began by current job at Thuma by overseeing the replacement of our product display page photography with renderings. We rendered over 3000 images for products including the Classic Bed, the Nest Dresser, the Classic Nightstand, the Nest Shelving, and the Side Tables. I also manage external rendering contractors to create renderings for upcoming product launches.

Thuma Side Tables | 2023

These are Thuma’s first wood side tables. They are offered in two silhouettes, C Side Table and Pedestal Side Table, differentiating and expanding the product offering to new bedside tables and other areas of the home. I worked on the design of these during my current job at Thuma.

In 2022 I imagined the future of ambient technology in the home and created a system called Pebble. A universal glass orb is used to interact with three different objects: a controller, a lamp, and a charging tray. Designed with natural materials and seamless interactions, Pebble enhances the environment at home. by @poschproducts

As part of being an IDSA student merit award winner I was profiled in this season’s INNOVATION magazine. I am stoked to see my render full scale in a magazine! Thanks @idsadesign for this awesome opportunity.

I also got to help with the process photo on the last cover of INNOVATION while I was an intern @leveldesignsf! Pretty neat how everything comes back around. by @poschproducts
