March Fourth
National Marching Arts Day

CW: SH, SA

I have not wanted to acknowledge, let alone celebrate, this holiday in years for a handful of reasons.

Primarily, a staff member from every group I’ve marched with has since been fired/fined/charged/incarcerated for acts ranging in wildly inappropriate to disgustingly heinous crimes towards girls and young women.

Every. Single. Group.

On nearly a weekly basis, I alternate between never wanting to associate with this activity again, and dedicating my life’s work to defending girls and preventing anything like this from happening again.

Protect girls and young women. It is the absolute least they deserve.

DFTK.
It’s appalling that this needs to be said, especially twenty years after I first heard it. by @positivelypotatoes

Trick or treat 2023 was a huge success with a record 155 kids!

Sign made with @letteringbykaren ‘s @loddiedoddieco chalk markers.

Only two kids thought I was an Eagles player and only two adults thought I was actually injured. by @positivelypotatoes

Ten years ago today was pretty neat.
Which of these being the most neat can be up for debate.

I can’t partake in the fun on Facebook because I was hacked after putting this meme to a local group thread complaining about this company. (Picture 5) by @positivelypotatoes

#tbt to arguably one of my most impressive achievements in college.
Submitting an assignment at the infamous 11:59:59pm.

(The funny thing is this professor generally had assignments due at 7am and not midnight.) by @positivelypotatoes

Warning: flashing lights
I’ve darkened the screen to lessen the effect and it starts a few seconds in.

Who thought doing this was a good idea? A red flashing light on the entire lane of someone who is far enough behind to possibly have their points taken away.
Doing this any time before the last lap of the race is irrelevant, especially in the IMs or mixed relays.
Previously, the lane would only go red at the finish if their points were jackpotted.
