I don’t know what community looks like to you, but it sure looks a hell of a lot like what I’m seeing at these Open Mic and Jams we’re holding at Nola.

If you’ve been attending, thank you so much for being a part of the movement 🙏

It’s insane how much the @cafenolamd Open Mic and Jam has grown in just a month! Seriously, you all are something else. I feel like I saw half of Frederick last night.

The whole thing was a rocking affair from beginning to end. So many talented Frederick musicians getting together to mix up the proverbial medicine. It was truly a thing of beauty. The feeling of community was palpable. The creativity was bubbling. The grooves were grooving. And people showed up in force. Beautiful, truly.

We’ll be back at it next week with a featured act who will be announced shortly. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this 🔥

We are so back, Downtown Frederick 🎸 🎙️

Thanks to everyone who’s been playing and patronizing the new open mic and jam at Nola. We’re showing everyone that there is a demand for original live music forums in Downtown like there used to be, and we’re having a damn good time doing it 🎶

You can contribute to the growth of our Downtown music scene directly by bringing some friends out next Monday to party with us! The bigger a crowd we draw, the more powerful our voices become, and the louder our demand for a thriving local music scene will be 📢
