This did semi well on TikTok so thought I’d share here hehehe

Also amusing how when something gets more traction a lot of hate starts coming in !? 😂

This was one of the first guitar solos I learnt when I started getting into lead a couple years age. It’s still ‘somewhat’ under my fingers 🤪

Welcome to my new world that is Poster Child. A representation of raw self expression and freedom from societal constraints, particularly those placed on women. It’s about being outspoken and being who you are despite what society wants you to look & sound like. It’s a positive rebellion.

On that note I’m very excited to announce my first headline show @loveshack_ldn June 14th!! Performing with my lovely band @the_future_is_unwritten @adamgeraghty_ & Emilie, we’ll be supported by my friend/wonderfully talented artist @tomhrcherry. Ticket link is now is my bio, come along, bring a friend, I’ll be showcasing lots of new songs as well as my familiar favourites. See you there.

Honey bee by Olivia Rodrigo with a little guitar over it! Such a beautiful song. And so happy to be getting my fingers back into playing at last 😍

We came, we rocked, we conquered!!! Or were conquered by the heat rather… 39 Celsius + a whole lot of dancing. 🤪

Seeing ZZ Top at the marina in Valencia with a very modest crowd felt like seeing a band before they’re famous. But they’re a band who have sold out stadiums!? People were watching from the dock, we sat on some steps at the back of the park with the best view for the cost of general admission. How lucky we were for this funny little time travelling experience!! ZZ Top, I shall be back! And the goal is absolutely to be that cool at 76. 😎🤘

I did my absolute best to chop this down but being concise is not my forte 😆

A little hand update for anyone curious about the developments I’ve had! An intraosseous cyst compressing my nerve was not on my bingo card for this year, yet here we are!! Happy to be getting some answers. Will be even happier when I’m fully recovered :)) getting there slowly but surely.

Ps that little patch on my wrist is from where I had an injection for my tendinitis in the spring. This hand is beginning to look like it’s been to war but I think I’m on the mend 😂

Bon weekend everyone! ❤️

Became the best emo version of myself for @mychemicalromance last night 😏. Not somewhere I’d usually find myself but wow what an amazing band, show and crowd! Got to experience all the things: a crowd surf, a mosh (very scary, I stayed on the edge…), a staged killing of the lead Gerard Way, and shouting moody lyrics with 90,000 other people. 🖤

When I initially started chatting to a woman next to me, I wondered if I was making a mistake telling an MCR fan I was at Lily Allen 2 weeks ago 😆. And yet was pleasantly surprised to hear she was at this same stadium for Taylor Swift last year, as was the next woman I spoke to…. There seems to be a fan crossover between Taylor and My Chem which I just think is brilliant and as a teen Swiftie, made me love this band even more 🤣🤭

The guitarist Ray Toro was so magnetic to watch, his solo in video 2 was amazing, in fact, they all were :)) 10/10 night.

Thank you @kfh0p3l355 for coming through with the ticket and @davidkahomusic for singing all the words for me to follow along to 🙏

Wow, what a magical night Sunday was indeed 😍 Thank you so much to everyone who came to watch, sing, dance and laugh along with us, we had the best time with you!

A particularly big thank you to @loveshack_ldn for having us. Truly just the most beautiful and charming venue we have ever played. ❤️

Can’t wait to do it all over again soon. In the meantime, we have more music to make.

Love, POSTER CHILD xx 💋

Slightly longer one here incase anyone wanted to know why I’ve not been playing guitar the last few months. Don’t normally post long emotional chats, I try to keep it good vibes most the time but definitely on a bit of a new journey now and rather than keeping it to myself I thought I could share it here and hopefully connect with others and keep making my dream a reality! I feel pretty devastated not to be writing songs on the guitar at the moment and still unclear on my healing, but I know that I will play again, and I’m sure it’s sooner than I think. I also know that there are countless ways to write a song and this is really just another way of finding what else I’m capable of/ what other ideas live inside me! More to come very soon. 😋 love, Ayla. X

Band appreciation post. We did our first gig on Feb 15th and it was so. much. fun! I’ve been wanting to transition from performing solo to with a band for such a long time now and so grateful to have found such a brilliant group of musicians to bridge that gap with. So thank you to you wonderful lot @adamgeraghty_ @the_future_is_unwritten @adam_dennis19 ❤️

On the note of bridging gaps, I’ve been wanting to lean more into electric guitar and lead performing for a while now, rather than hiding behind the comfort and safety of strumming my acoustic. It’s one thing to play guitar solos in my bedroom, it’s another to execute them well on stage (no retakes allowed 😂). A few minor mistakes were made (see the last slide lol), a lot was learned, and most of all I had a great time and just can’t wait to do more!

Thank you so much to all my amazing friends who came to support me, I love you guys 🥰

Thank you to @aurora_rising_music for organising the event and asking us to be apart of such a lovely evening!! 🥰

And on that note, more band gigs, more lead, more experimentation and certainly more fun to come!!
