Last month I visited Nine Brew, a new Thai cafe in downtown DC. The space had ample seating, great natural lighting, wifi, and ambient music (not too loud) to accompany yummy drinks: the perfect work from home or gathering spot 💻💬 The staff were also very friendly and attentive and took time to explain each menu item!

☕️ American Breakfast: espresso paired well with the orange juice and creamy topping

🇹🇭 Thai Tea: not too sweet, great tea flavor

I honestly usually don’t care for chicken or fries so I was hesitant to go, but so glad I did because @me.nufoodtruck was truly something else. The personable service from Manalee, the owner, and attention to every detail in each food item was top notch!

🍗 Chicken Tenders w Garlic Aioli: the coating was SO crispy and freshly fried while still remaining juicy on the inside + the garlic aioli was the perfect savory pairing

🍔 West Coast Stack (inspired by In N Out): my partner loved it, especially the caramelized onions

🍓 Strawberry Cheesecake: a nice sweet treat to round everything out

I love fried fish and was not able to try it this time so I hope to be back soon!

Kinhfolk has become known for their Vietnamese coffee so I had to stop by 🇻🇳☕️ The baristas were so kind and welcoming and I loved hearing them chat with regulars and new customers alike, explaining the menu in depth to each person that had questions.

Seating was limited but the space was cozy — perfect to stop by for a drink before walking around Brooklyn!

🍊Calamansi Mist: smooth cold brew with a fresh cream top; the calamansi flavor did not come through as much as the orange zest but I enjoyed my drink

I had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Verse is a neighborhood gem I keep returning to in Astoria, Queens and for good reason. Every drink is extremely high quality with complex unique flavors that let the ingredients really shine! The staff, especially Harmony, are so sweet and warm to each customer which made for a wonderful experience.

🍊Kumquat Soba Einspanner: 10/10 no notes, you need to try this before their seasonal menu changes!

🍓 Strawberry Matcha Latte: uses more astringent matcha that pairs well with the homade strawberry jam

Found the cutest hidden gem in Las Vegas’ Chinatown: @takeiteasyroasters 🦥☕️

The quiet ambience and cute sloth theme made it a cozy spot to telework or hang out. Whenever I’m in Vegas again, I will be sure to stop by!

🍊 Espresso Fizz: the perfect blend of sweet citrus honey and tangy tonic water with espresso — I loved how I could taste the floral notes of the espresso

🍋‍🟩 Coconut Key Lime Tart: 10/10 no notes, absolutely delicious

@tangandsizzle is a new couple-owned business serving handmade, freshly fired pizzas. Each pizza we tried was delicious (and this says a lot coming from someone who usually does not care for pizza) 👀

The fresh ingredients and attention to detail in stretching the dough for each order were apparent in every bite

🍄‍🟫 Truffle Mushroom: great balance of savory with a little sweetness — absolute must try

🍐 Perfect Pear (seasonal): funky blue cheese mellowed out by fresh pear and prosciutto — my partner’s fav

🍑 Peaches & Goat Cheese: blend of creamy cheese paired with ripe pear, pickled onions, and balsamic glaze — surprisingly enjoyed this even though I normally don’t like goat cheese

Tang & Sizzle converted me to a pizza lover and I’ll most definitely be back for more!
