3 years ago today, Destroy Lonely would release the deluxe version of his album ‘if looks could kill.’

On June 17, 2023, Destroy Lonely stated in a now-deleted Tumblr post that If Looks Could Kill would not be receiving a deluxe, likely due to the physical releases (CD’s and vinyls) receiving two separate tracks.
However, on the night before the Director’s Cut release, Destroy Lonely took to Twitter announcing that a deluxe version would be officially released the next day, with all of the physical tracks seeing an official release to all platforms, alongside adding two new songs to the albums: “catch a kill” and “thats my.”

A lot of Opium fans dont realize how integral R$G was in the development of Destroy Lonely’s early career; particularly Nezzus & Sn8ke who helped connect him with the likes of Carti & Clayco. Destroy Lonely unexpectedly released a batch of 5 songs to his Twitter page during the early hours of September 28, 2025 to his Twitter/X account. He would upload the following tracks onto his SoundCloud later that day.
The tracks consisting of ‘rose gold ice’ + ‘exorcist’ + ‘sipped too much’ + ‘with my bch’ & ‘hide it’
Almost all recorded within the same 3 weeks.
