We are honored to be featured in “The Last Straw, From Needle Point to Infinity Point”, co-curated by @viviers.studio , @lidewijedelkoort and @philipfimmano Hosted in an Art Deco penthouse within the historic Old Mutual Building, the exhibition brings together local and international works exploring natural and animal fibres across art, fashion, furniture and design. Potrends presents a piece from “Into the Garden Collection” a fully hand-drawn print developed on linen and cotton natural fibre bases, where illustration becomes cloth and cloth becomes narrative. A pleasure to contribute to a dialogue that centres around fibre, craft and intention. by @potrends
Look 5 - The Reflection The traveler moves slower now. Full-print hand drawn illustrations flow across linen and cotton, interrupted by a wavy black path; the road remembered, not repeated. Breathable, fluid, and light, this look reflects ease after tension. Gardens exist everywhere, even beside concrete buildings. Look 4 - The Arrival A tailored blazer and trouser set grounded in structure, softened by an Albertinia Mothflower embroidery growing from the pocket. Precision meets patience, the road’s discipline giving way to quiet growth. Fabric: Wool blend Limited Items Available Online & Exclusively Available in-store YADE ( 44 Stanley avenue. ) Dm for order & Custom Made. Look 3 - The Discovery Stillness sharpens the senses. A fitted polar neck jersey with an asymmetrical cape and hidden shoulder zip moves between protection and ease. The genet embroidery emerges, unseen at first, like life observing from the edges of unfinished spaces. Fabric: Jersey Cotton Limited Items Available Online & Exclusively Available in-store YADE ( 44 Stanley avenue. ) Dm for order & Custom Made. Look 2 - The Breakdown A structured overall jumpsuit shaped by function and detail; wavy hems, utility pockets, and a tyre-track belt marking the break in movement. An embroidered bird appears quietly, the first sign that nature is closer than expected. Fabric : Bull denim Limited Items Available Online & Exclusively Available in-store YADE( 44 Stanley avenue. ) Dm for order & Custom Made.
