Looking back on a custom walnut cabinet design in a laundry room we did last year for a wonderful client in Warrenton,Va. I miss my clients when we move on to other projects! We spend so many hours in their homes and make special friendships! We're so fortunate to have this creative and fulfilling career!! by @powellbrower_id

A PBI kitchen refresh in McLean,Va for a fun couple. The cabinets were red, the floors were tile, the lighting was builder grade. Deep layers of authentic, natural materials take a room from casual to luxurious. We are known for clean lines and a more minimal approach to design. Let the materials and finishes do all the talking! 📸 @radiferaphotography by @powellbrower_id

From our initial presentation of the design 8 months ago to a full- on remodel underway NOW featuring new walls, windows, ceilings, floors, doors, bathroom and kitchen! There was mold discovered in the basement ceiling that made the basement a priority over the last few months, that wasn't in the initial project brief. We fixed the chimney and hvac leaks and renovated the entire basement with new insulation, drywall , flooring, built-ins and as we say, we got the 'bones' of the house fixed as our no. 1 priority. by @powellbrower_id

I've been doing design for over 40 years. Now instead of just 'decorating' I involve a team of craftsmen and contractors that bring our designs to life. This takes a lot more time and coordinating than just picking out paint and pillows! Thank you to all our team- trades, vendors, artists and experts who make our firm so successful. Thank you to our fabulous clients who have trusted us to make their homes more functional and beautiful. Remember, you spend more time at home than anywhere else and you deserve to treat yourself to the help of a PBI professional! by @powellbrower_id

Remember the bas-relief pieces I made by pressing found flora from my yard into clay? Then I poured plaster over it and when dry, peeled off the clay and bits. My husband just finished framing them. #artbyNancyPowell by @powellbrower_id
