Being accepted into the London School of Economics and Political Science, a global powerhouse for the social sciences, was beyond my wildest dreams.

Welcome Week was overwhelmingly awesome. It was intense but in the best way possible haha, packed with activities, incredibly well-organized, and full of support in every way. I can actually feel what it means to be part of a world-class institution.

Coming from a social science background and years in the social sector, stepping into technology and innovation last year made me realize I didn't want to choose between the two. And I don't think there's a better home for my passion for social impact and for the growing role of innovation and entrepreneurship than the MSc in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at LSE. (Lots of people have asked me what social innovation is, to me, it's taking the best of every world (business, tech, government, social sector, and just all) to create sustainable solutions for social change. Let's see if I still think this by the end of the program 😆

One week in, I already know I'm in the right place at the right time. Our cohort brings together 19 nationalities, with classmates who have already created so much positive change across different sectors and communities. Hearing their stories, learning from their journeys, and imagining what we might build together has probably been one of my favourite parts of this first week 💗🌍💡I am genuinely so excited to be surrounded by such an extraordinary group of people!

Today, I'm officially a full-time student again. I'm so grateful for this incredible opportunity that the UK Government has given me. I can't wait to see where this path leads. I'm soso grateful for this opportunity. Thank you, Chevening, and thank you, LSE! 🌍💙💜💛

The "dream scholarship" that so many people call it, myself included, is no longer just a "dream" 🥹😍

I'm incredibly happy to share that I have been selected as a Chevening Scholar! I'll be heading to the UK on a full government scholarship to pursue my Master's degree in London this year! 🇬🇧💙

For those unfamiliar, #Chevening is the UK government's global scholarship program, awarded to emerging leaders worldwide. It covers everything, tuition, monthly living allowances, flights, visas, and more. This year saw a record-breaking 108,959 applicants worldwide, the highest number in Chevening's 40-year history (I picked the right year huh? haha) and I am beyond humbled to be one of the 700 selected from worldwide.

What makes Chevening so special isn't just the opportunity to study abroad for free, it's joining a global Changemaker Community of people who genuinely want to leave the world better than they found it. "I'm built for this community, and this community is built for me" I actually said this line directly to the panel during my interview! 😅

Looking back, throughout the process, taking that leap gave me something far greater than a scholarship or a chance to study abroad, it restored my self-belief, anchored my purpose, and reminded me of who I am.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a girl from a social science background would one day graduate with a Master's in Technology and Creative Innovation 🎓🤖

Getting a full-ride to study at CMKL University, Thailand's first AI and innovation-focused university, founded through the collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, was both exciting and intimidating. I often wondered if I belonged in a place where everyone seemed fluent in AI, data, and emerging technologies, while I kept asking, "But how does this help people?"

Turns out, that question was exactly why I belonged. CMKL showed me a side of technology I hadn't fully seen before. In a world where AI is everywhere, this community reminded me that technology is only as powerful as the purpose behind it :)

To CMKL, thank you for believing in a social science girl who wandered into the world of technology. And to every professor, classmate, mentor, and friend I met along the way, thank you for your support, encouragement, and for shaping me into the person I am today 🙏🏻🧡

Somewhere along the journey, I realized I'd never stopped wanting to create social impact, I had simply found a new way to do it 🤓🦾✨🌍💕

This chapter may be coming to an end, but something tells me the next one begins about 9,500 kilometers away 👀✈️🏫

Biggest flex this Valentine’s? Having the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful partner I could ever ask for 💘

Thank you for being my unofficial understudy, for listening to me sing the same songs over and over (and over) again without ever complaining, for cooking me dinner before rehearsals, cutting fruits, and prepping snacks for me and my friends like a parent getting kids ready for sports practice, for massaging my feet when they hurt from dancing, and for encouraging me on the days I felt nervous. You cheered me on in all the quiet ways only I could see… you were so involved you even started dreaming about my songs 😆🎶

And the flowers… getting me flowers, and getting flowers for the whole cast? That was so you. So thoughtful, so generous, so effortlessly kind. You’re such a dreamboat, and I mean that in every sense of the word 🥹💖

A lot has been going on in our lives lately, and sometimes the future feels a little uncertain. But like you wrote in your love letter, “it’s very clear, our love is here to stay” 👀 haha. This Valentine’s was honestly the most special one I’ve ever had 🌹💘🎭🎶💃🏻

Theatre has always been a small, hidden piece of my heart. My friends know how much I love to sing, but I never really had the chance to do something like this. The last time I was in a play was back in 2014 (my first and only one) so being part of the Valentine’s Day Show at the Juke Joint felt surreal, like reconnecting with a part of myself I hadn’t visited in years.

5 weeks of workshops, learning new songs, dancing choreography I wasn’t used to, stepping out of my comfort zone, and loving every second of it.

Adam, if it weren’t for you, this wouldn’t have happened. You know theatre’s always been a quiet dream of mine, and getting the chance to step into this world because you believed in me is something I will carry with me for a long time. You saw something in me before I even saw it in myself, and that kind of trust means more than you know 🥹💕🫶🏻

To my beautiful cast, Jess, Inbal, Nite, Robert, and Adam, I’m going to miss our little love story sharing sessions, the laughs, and getting to sing alongside all of you. You all truly “do something to me” that simply mystifies me; I think I’m officially under your spell 👀✨

October will always be my favorite month, my birthday, my favorite holiday, and that Christmas-is-getting-closer feeling 🎃🍁🎄🎅🏻

Getting older feels a little strange this year, part of me wants to slow time down, but another part is excited for what’s ahead.

This year was also the first time I really celebrated my birth month haha doing all my favorite things with my favorite people 🫶🏻💕

Speaking of the best community I’ve ever been part of, it’s always been YSEALI 💖

For the past 6 years, this community has shaped me and helped me grow in ways I can’t even begin to explain. And as someone who’s passionate about women’s empowerment and gender equality, being invited to the Women’s Leadership Academy (WLA) this year meant the world.

The past 6 months haven’t been easy, life’s been heavy, the world’s been loud, and I’ve been in survival mode. But WLA… it refueled my soul in ways I didn’t realize I needed. Meeting such brilliant, bold, and beautiful women from across Southeast Asia reminded me of the power we hold, individually and collectively. Thank you to everyone who came up to me, shared your stories, and trusted me with a piece of your journey. You’ve inspired me more than you know. I wish I had more time to talk with each of you, but please know your presence, your words, your energy are now a part of my story, too 💖
