Another year at the Bloomsburg Fair 🤝

Whether making sure the fair has reliable power for the week before the gates open, to putting on almost 50 electrical safety demonstrations or giving out free trees, plants and shrubs, we are proud to power this great tradition.

Our Community Roots program was a big hit this year, giving out 1,500 trees/plants/shrubs on Tuesday alone!

⚡ Exciting news for Pennsylvania's energy future!

A big thank you to U.S. Department of Energy (@energy) Secretary Chris Wright (@secretarywright), Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (@repmackenzie), Congressman Dan Meuser (@repmeuser), our project partners, community leaders and stakeholders for joining us today to celebrate an exciting investment in Pennsylvania's energy future.

PPL Electric Utilities has been selected to receive up to $71.5 million in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Energy's SPARK Program to support our Montour Grid Resilience and Advanced Reconductoring Project.

The project will help strengthen reliability, improve grid resilience and support growing energy needs, all while maximizing existing infrastructure and helping protect our customers through smart, future-focused investments.

Because the future of energy should be reliable, resilient and affordable. 💡

Powering conservation, together. 🌼

The Lancaster Conservancy is now welcoming visitors to a new hiking trail at its Safe Harbor Nature Preserve. Once a hayfield, this trail is now a sprawling meadow filled with native species of eye-popping colors nestled between our right-of-way corridors.

We worked with the conservancy to identify species that would both thrive in this habitat while keeping a safe distance from our equipment to preserve reliability for our customers.

This latest collaboration with the conservancy is special, as this preserve sits on land donated to the conservancy by PPL, a vibrant reminder of the strength of teamwork.

"As Pennsylvania grows, our responsibility is to make sure existing customers are protected."

PPL Electric Utilities has proposed a new Customer Protection Transmission Rider (CPTR) that would build on our existing Customer Protection Framework by increasing transparency and creating a new way to directly assign certain transmission-related costs associated with large energy users to those customers.
