Hot topics need credible voices.

✨Why it matters ✨

• Consider the fact that wellness fatigue is a thing. But while some people are over it, someone else is just discovering creatine or finally trying a cold plunge.

• This is dinner table conversation material : someone’s sending the article to their mom like “see, I told you.”

• This feeds every A.I’s search for input and what we call GEO

• People want real answers, not another fad dressed up as science.

• These stories stick around forever. They get Googled for years.

• The right expert shuts down the BS.

Between events like SAVEUR magazine’s intimate Wisconsin Club, full of connections. Or Racquet Media and Ori Magazine, two new magazines reinventing what niche print can mean (stunning prints!!), And Air Mail reporting last week about Harper’s Bazaar turning 175 and the role of print, as a media case study in quiet staying power.

One line stuck out:
“With paper comes a territory called independence, where no algorithm ever tells us what to think.”

This isn’t about conversion.
It’s about conversation.

The kind Gen Z’s already tuned into: slower media, deeper stories, beautiful objects you want to hold, not swipe. Different formats create different results.

And when used intentionally, at the right time, with the right tone, this kind of storytelling doesn’t just perform.
It imprints.

I love print, I love the evolution of media towards substack, print, vertical or any format! I LOVE it.
This is the work I love most.
Not for everyone.
But when it lands, it lasts. taken in New York City by @pr.tnrs

PR is not what you’ve done, it’s what you will do.
Editors want access to what’s next, not a post-mortem of what worked.
That’s why I build stories around product movements, not decks.

Pitching soon? Let’s shape the part they’ll remember. Grab the open 15 and 30 minutes slots in my bio. taken in New York, New York by @pr.tnrs

Grateful to share with @theprnet why the best stories don’t always need explaining, just translating.

If you’ve ever said, “PR didn’t really work for us” this is probably why.

Broke it down in this piece in The PR Net journal on why smart PR today is less about coverage ONLY, and more about cultural engineering.

(And yes, that includes hopping on a podcast to throw a blanket on a couch or engineer the next hot ones, mood boards, and media moments that actually move.)

For anyone building what’s next, this one’s for you.
And please, DO COMMENT what’s one thing you’ve stopped doing this year, and one thing you’ve doubled down on? by @pr.tnrs

Everyone’s on a couch.
Launch the next cult format

James Corden had the car.
Hot Ones brought the wings.
Chicken Shop gave us awkward banter.
AND Bobbi Althoff and Call Her Daddy are on a bed or a couch, in socks, with a mic in frame.

The format is the story.

I keep telling clients, don’t pitch the next guest spot. Create the show.
Forget the green room. Create the room.

Facials and founder chats?
Interviews on reformers?
Girl walks and wellness talks?

If your brand is the lifestyle, make it the setting too.
Take Vuori. Take New Balance. Take your pick, it’s not just what you say, it’s how we experience it.

The next Carpool Karaoke is out there.

Let’s build it, and brand it.
👉 Book a brainstorm. I’ll bring the format, you bring the ambition. taken in New York, N.Y. by @pr.tnrs

We land the next big story by knowing what comes before the headlines !

The stories that break through next month? I’m hearing them this week.
That’s why you’ve got to show up where culture’s being shaped.

This week it’s Fast Company’s Innovation Festival, The Atlantic Festival, and The New Yorker Festival. That’s where I’m listening, because that’s where culture, media, and innovation are being shaped in real time!!!!! (a loving wink to New York for this!)

Last year? It was all GLP-1s, performance, new materials.
This year? I can’t wait to hear and see

We don’t pitch in a vacuum, we don’t throw spaghetti at the wall. I place my clients where momentum is already building.

If you want coverage that actually lands, you need more than a message.
You need context.
You need timing.
You need someone in the room.

That’s what I do.

Let’s start with one question: how are you adding value to the conversation that’s already happening? Ready? Get in touch with a 15 min call! by @pr.tnrs

Should you pitch yourself as “the first minority founder to disrupt sleep/ the food industry/ wearables”? 👀
Not if you want to actually get read 🙈

Journalists see HUNDREDS of those emails a week - all with the same “Meet the first…” subject line. About as tempting to open as “BLOWOUT SALE.”

So enough about you - time to shake things up!
When I pitched a composting startup, we didn’t go with “the innovation that…” or “the best product for…”
We went with: “Trash talking New York” and “The founder Trash talking his way up”

The open rate jumped. Writers paid attention. So did a few boldface names.

That same playbook worked with:
“The sweet CEO making the world sweeter”
“Shatta up” for a hot sauce that didn’t need a polite intro

I am telling you, the right line gets repeated at dinner, not buried in an inbox.

Want to know the line that’ll make your brand the conversation starter?
I got you 🙂
That’s what I’ve done for the dozens of successful brands I’ve worked with!

If trending holidays aren’t getting you press, why are you still pitching them?

When past client Café Grumpy tried to ride National Coffee Day hype, the results were… lukewarm. Pitching the usual trending holiday angles to media was getting less traction than Ice Cube’s new film.

The problem? They weren’t standing out.

The solution? We created news instead of chasing it. We ditched National Coffee Day entirely and claimed National Sleep Awareness Month instead; announcing we’d only serve decaf after 4 p.m. to help New Yorkers rest more and be mindful of their habits.

It was newsworthy, unique, and unexpected; and it sparked real media momentum, giving editors something fresh and fun to cover.

If you’re tired of chasing trends and want to create stories the media can’t ignore, book a 15-minute brainstorm with me. Bring the ambition, I’ll bring the angle. taken in Manhattan, New York by @pr.tnrs

To the risk of disappointing , PR is not about sales but it’s about being part of the conversation and creating the conversation, chaging the culture and shaping perceptions.

While 11/11 has long been linked with manifesting and luck, today’s cultural lexicon revolves more around self-love, self-care, mental health, and personal growth.

It’s also known as Singles’ Day—a time to celebrate individuality and self-appreciation.

📰📰 For brands planning holiday campaigns, it’s essential to recognize this shift in consumer priorities. 📆

If you’re looking to connect meaningfully, tapping into themes of self-development and wellness will resonate more than ever during this season.

Excited to see Histovery land a spot in @timeoutnewyork !it’s a key part of positioning their amazing event exactly where it needs to be; in front of the right people, with the right message.

One great piece of coverage can open many doors.
