So many life lessons learned in such a short period of time, friendships that will last me the rest of my life, and stories that will bring me infinite joy every time I look back. I am eternally grateful that I could come back to the troopers for a second season and have an amazing home for the summer.
I love drum corps. HLD til the end >”<

Who would I be without this?

I’d probably be nothing. I would be lost, I would be dull, I would be bored out of my mind, and my knees would probably still work. This art has taught me so much about myself, how to be confident, how to believe in myself, and how to push through things that have felt like trudging through hell. This has been my distraction when everything in my life was falling apart, and this has been my passion since I first touched a flag at 11 years old.

If I went back and were able to talk to the middle school version of me, the little kid that was weird, that would get made fun of, and that was scared to fully express themselves, they wouldn’t be able to recognize who we were today. I have grown in ways I thought weren’t possible 4 years ago, and I’ve done things I never thought I’d achieve.

Happy March 4th to those who celebrate. Everyone in this activity is so lucky to do what they do, don’t ever take it for granted. #march4th #drumcorps #colorguard #dci #wgi taken in Passion by @practically.peter.parker
