BIRKENSTOCK IN SEONGSU / 2026 Seongsu is a district where traces of Seoul’s industrial past remain, while also functioning as one of the city’s largest media districts. This project explores the point where the local character of Seongsu meets Birkenstock’s heritage. Natural materiality is woven into the industrial setting, allowing visitors to visually experience Birkenstock’s making process and gain a deeper understanding of its core materials. A vivid blue, symbolic of Birkenstock, brings a cool summer sensibility to the space, creating a refreshing moment to pause within the city. <Unnamed Room>, 2026 Practice‘s Unnamed Room explores the latent possibilities of industrial materials. Components such as electrical boxes, glass spiders, and cedar shakes perform specific functions within architectural and industrial systems, yet often remain unnoticed. By removing these materials from their original contexts and transforming them into furniture and objects, Practice reveals formal and material qualities hidden behind utility. <노래하는 표면> Facade that speaks 2026 스파이더, 유리, 와이어, 스테인리스 스틸 스파이더는 거미를 닮았다는 이유로 그 이름을 얻었다. 네 개의 팔이 뻗고, 끝이 유리를 붙잡는다. 건축 외벽에서 스파이더는 유리를 고정하고, 바람과 진동을 흡수하며, 표면이 무너지지 않도록 지탱한다. 그러나 건축 부속이 된 순간, 형태가 품고 있던 다른 가능성들은 기능 뒤로 사라졌다. 이 작품은 그 망각 이전으로 돌아간다. 스파이더는 원래부터 진동을 다루는 부속이었다. 외벽에서 바람의 떨림을 받아내고, 열팽창의 미세한 움직임을 허용하며, 구조가 숨 쉴 수 있도록 했다. 소리를 낸다는 것은 그 본성의 이탈이 아니라, 확장이다. 유리면은 수직으로 서 있지 않다. 앞으로 기울어진 채, 아직 어느 쪽으로도 수렴되지 않은 상태로 존재한다. 와이어는 그 기울어짐을 붙잡는다. 쓰러지지 않게 하는 것이 아니라, 기울어진 채로 존재할 수 있도록. 와이어는 그 긴장을 공간 속으로 연장한다. 거미줄이 바람을 감지하듯, 구조 전체가 소리의 신체가 된다. 스피커의 진동은 스파이더를 통해 유리로 흐른다. 유리를 고정하던 네 개의 팔이 이제 소리를 붙든다. 침묵하던 표면이 노래한다. 파사드가 말을 건다. 스파이더는 다시 거미가 된다. 기능 이전의 형태로, 언어 이전의 이미지로. by @practice.kr

<투박한 고상> Crude Elegance 2026 아연 강관, 폭스 전기 폭스와 강관은 원래 전기를 연결하고 구조를 정리하기 위한 산업 부속이다. 이 재료들은 벽 안이나 천장 속에서 기능하지만, 대부분 인식되지 않은 채 지나쳐진다. 작업은 이러한 익명의 부속들을 드러내고 다시 연결하는 것에서 시작한다. 샹들리에는 전기 폭스의 타공 구조와 강관의 직선적인 연결 방식을 기반으로 만들어진다. 기능을 위해 존재하던 규격과 구조는 조명의 리듬과 밀도를 형성하며, 산업적 부속들은 장식과 공간의 요소로 전환된다. 각 부품은 원래의 역할을 완전히 지우지 않은 채 새로운 상태에 놓인다. 전기를 분배하던 구조는 빛을 확산시키는 형태가 되고, 숨겨져 있던 연결 방식은 공간 안에서 하나의 조형 언어로 드러난다. 이 작업은 기능과 장식, 구조와 오브제 사이에 고정되지 않은 상태를 나타낸다. #unnamedroom #studiopractice by @practice.kr

<압력의 형태> Form of Pressure 2026 철판에 분체도장, 스펀지 535 x 580 x 2230mm 재료(스펀지) 안에는 드러나지 않은 형태와 움직임이 잠재되어 있다. 외부의 압력이 가해지는 순간, 숨겨져 있던 볼륨은 틈 사이로 드러나며 새로운 표면을 만든다. 이 작업은 구조 내부에 머물러 있던 가능성과 물성이 스스로 모습을 드러내는 과정을 담고 있다. #unnamedroom #studiopractice by @practice.kr
