Artist Highlight: @danashoots8 The whole point of Practise Hours is simple: get artists in a room together, working side by side, making work they’re proud of. Our Artist Highlight series shares some of what comes out of those rooms. This one’s Dana’s. In her words: My approach to photography is deeply rooted in my personal experiences. I draw from the hardships, emotions, and moments I have experienced to translate them into images that evoke feelings beyond my own. My personal projects become a way of processing these experiences while allowing viewers to connect with them through their own perspective. I believe my photographs should speak for themselves. I focus on creating strong, intentional visuals that immediately capture the viewer’s attention while leaving room to pause, interpret, and feel something beyond what is visible. I had a great time during Practice Hours at H5 Lab. It was such a surreal experience to meet different people, connect with models and brand owners, and experience a genuine sense of community. As a photographer, finding a creative community can be difficult, so being in a space where I could meet, collaborate, and connect with other creatives was really meaningful to me. #practisehours @h5_____lab taken in Alserkal Avenue by @practise.hours
