Yesterday, I took a train from Lagos to Abeokuta with some of my favourite people.

It was my first train ride, my first time at the Egba Museum, and my first time at Olumo Rock. So clearly, yesterday was a day for firsts.

The climb was an experience!
By the time I got to the third phase, my acrophobia decided to show up. I panicked, questioned my life choices and considered turning back. I made it to the top regardless.

Here’s a little Olumo Rock dump.

I’m making this a lengthy caption because I have free will. Also because I want to share few things you might or might not know about me.

Things I love, things I’m figuring out, and the random thoughts that live in my head👇🏼

✨I love the beach.
It’s one of my favourite places to be. I love the warmth, the waves, the breeze, the way everything somehow feels a little lighter when I’m there.

✨I really don’t know what I’m doing as an adult.
I’m literally winging it. Showing up everyday with intention, making decisions and hoping they turn into a plan eventually.

✨I love to eat.
I just genuinely enjoy food. Good food, great food, food I’ve never tried before, food I said I was too full for five minutes ago. I love it all.

✨I love being around people.
I’m happiest when there’s good company, good conversation and enough laughter. I love people and I love the little stories that come with knowing them.

✨I love organising things.
Give me an excuse to hang out with my friends and I will probably turn it into an event. You want us to hang out? Give me a minute, I already have a theme, a plan and a to-do list.

There’s a lot more, but I’ll stop at five.

“I’m so grateful that God has kept your beautiful heart against all odds.
I know for a fact, God is still writing your story and I’m so excited for the beauty that lies ahead.
This year and the years to come will humble the past years.”

I read this in a mail from someone close to my heart this morning, and I cried hot tears.

To think it turned out to be just a tip of the affection, prayers, and genuine love that came with the day.

My heart is so full!
I am loved and loved intentionally.

I never doubted it for a second, but today I’ve seen it in full force.
I am surrounded by people who see me, celebrate me, and pray for me, through all the chapters life has written so far.

This is what dreams are made of.
