Known as The Beauty Engineer, Praise Dada is a Technical Project Leader at a global cosmetics company, with a background in Chemical Engineering and over five years of experience delivering innovation and manufacturing excellence in the beauty industry.

She’s led the technical development and commercialisation of some of your favourite beauty products, managing a portfolio worth over $300 million while blending scientific precision with creative problem solving.

But Praise doesn’t stop there. She’s a passionate advocate for access and equity in STEM, mentoring early-career engineers, supporting schools through the STEM Ambassador Network, and helping to shape national outreach initiatives like the Future Talent Programme, launched by the British Beauty Council and the Department for Education to support the next generation entering the beauty industry, particularly in STEM roles.

Guided by a belief in the power of people, places and possibility, Praise uses her platform The Beauty Engineer to showcase the magic of engineering in everyday life and help more of us see the science behind the glow ✨

q1 - fits & food (or a lack of) 🍇👚✝️ 💜

the first quarter for me was spent fasting for 50 days, and I realised even in the absence of physical food, I was spiritually and mentally filled in many ways. Here are some of my learnings / experiences;

1. the idea of love is such a close reality for me after studying & reflecting on the love Jesus had to sacrifice himself on the cross. I had the priveledge of celebrating the commitment of love at a close friends wedding. This was my fit 💙
2. it’s not always where you’re fed that you need to be filled - often times the filling comes from connection to the source, not middle men (John 6:26-35) 🔌
3. This picture reminds me of some of the tough moments in q1, showing up physically but emotionally I was so weak, my strength came from realising sometimes you must connect your pain with your purpose (gift) 💪🏾
4. they say ‘experience is the greatest teacher’ but at times it’s not about learning, it’s about also recognising you’ve reached a state of maturity - ‘cue the mature palate at a tasting menu’ 🍽️
5. faith & culture is more connected than I would like, its time to learn how to separate the fact from the fiction 📕
6. sometimes all it takes is going back to the basics, the simple things - that’s where you often find the most joy 😃
7. whilst faith is generated in your heart, expectation (hope) is what makes you act, it’s what breeds your miracle (Matthew 9:21 - ‘… if I can touch the hem of his garment’) 👗
8. connection (& community) is so important to me, the message of the cross illustrates connection, connection requires transparency and sometimes that’s saying ‘I’m not ok’ or ‘I need help’🤝🏾
9. FREEDOM is not the absence of accountability because it’s possible to be free but accountable. Thank God for freedom and accountability in friendship 🥰
