Hi, I’m the woman behind Praks Planning!!

Some Background-
In 2023, I woke up one morning, trusted my gut, quit my job, and went all in on starting my wedding & event planning business. It was one of the most exciting (and slightly terrifying) decisions of my life but was certainly the right one.
I earned my business degree from the University of Southern Maine and have spent many years working in the hospitality industry, where I have learned a lot about people, providing services to clients and forming a guest experience. This includes years of bartending and serving as well as working in a customer facing sales job in the design industry. Those years have shaped how I approach weddings today. I truly want you, your friends & family to be fully present on your wedding day and be able to leave the logistics and planning to me and my staff.
What brought me to wedding planning is the love and meaning behind these celebrations. There is something incredibly special about families coming together. About the love that fills a room. About the energy of a celebration that marks the start of a new chapter. I’m honored every single time I’m trusted to be part of those moments. And, of course, I absolutely love a good party.

A little about me-
I’m a huge foodie!!! You can almost always find me in the kitchen cooking up something delicious. Acts of service are truly my love language, and it brings me so much joy to care for others and create experiences that make people feel seen and celebrated. I’m also a total bird nerd, love plants and am happiest when I’m outdoors soaking up everything Maine has to offer. I’ve grown up in Maine and love the seasons. I am also an avid board gamer, with an extensive board game collection! Above all, I’m the proudest mama and wife. My family is my heart and the reason I believe so deeply in celebrating love in all its forms. And yes, I’m a Leo. So passion, warmth, creativity, and loving a great celebration? That all tracks. Oh, I almost forgot, you will always see me with an iced coffee!

Mary and Mitchell’s wedding at The Maine Maritime was nothing short of a raging party. They wanted to be subtly introduced into a dance party to start the night. I mixed the three songs they wanted and the energy they and their guests brought had everyone buzzing before dinner even started.

A little wind, a pearl-covered veil, and the dreamiest fall evening on the coast of Maine… 🤍

Erin & Cam’s wedding yesterday at The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport was nothing short of beautiful! The crisp fall air, gorgeous coastal views, and just enough wind to make that stunning veil dance made for some of my favorite moments of the day.

These two were SO sweet, and it was such a joy to capture all the love surrounding them. From start to finish, it was an incredible day with an amazing team of vendors who helped bring it all together!

Diaries of a wedding planner ☕️

Fix the veil
Assist with the first look
Set the table
Checking the weather 20 times across platforms
Direct all the vendors
Tracking down the wedding party
Lighting approximately 147 candles
Fixing the train for the 12th time
Moving one place setting approximately 3/4 of an inch
Checking the timeline and directing vendors, again
Eat a granola bar
Solving problems nobody else noticed
Making sure everyone has eaten
Drink my weight in iced coffee
