You don’t always need the same thing from your breath.

Some days you want help getting started. Sometimes you need a minute in the middle of everything. Sometimes you realise you haven’t stopped for yourself all day. And sometimes you’re ready for bed but your brain clearly isn’t. 🙈

That’s exactly why I made A Breath for That.

Four practices for four different moments, so you don’t have to figure out what to do when your mind is already full.

Choose what you need, press play and breathe.

A Breath for That is $19 and yours to keep. Link in bio.

It’s easy to show our best selves when everything is going well.
It’s a little different when we’re tired, stressed, frustrated or overwhelmed.
Those are the moment I use I use my breath the most.
Sometimes even just a breath is enough to make a difference.
If you want to try it. My free 11-minute guided practice is linked in my bio.

Is my throat closing?
Can I hear a wheeze?
Does everything feel normal?
I never really thought about how automatic that had become.
My relationship with my breath is very different now. I still respect my asthma and know that could change, but I feel much more comfortable with my own breath.
And lately, I’ve been wondering...
If you’ve lived with asthma for years, what is your relationship with your breath like?
Do you mostly notice your breathing when something feels wrong, or at other times too?

I think for most of my life, deeper breathing automatically meant better breathing to me.
Which probably makes sense when you’ve grown up with asthma.

Then during my breathwork training I started coming across completely different approaches to breathing.
Buteyko was one of them.
Less breathing and nasal breathing then I kept exploring breath holds.
And I remember thinking... wait, what?

Especially because some of the breathwork I had already learned involved deep, diaphragmatic breathing through the mouth.
Two approaches that seemed almost completely opposite.
And I loved that because it made me curious.
Instead of trying to find the one “right” way to breathe, I started exploring what different ways of breathing actually felt like in my own body.
That curiosity is still a huge part of how I approach breathwork now.
Different tools for different moments.

Funny how life works sometimes.

For years, my breath was something I checked because I was worried about it.

Now it’s something I come back to because I trust it.

I don’t think I could have imagined that as the little girl making sure her inhaler was always nearby.

But here we are

You can love your business and work and still want to stop thinking about it sometimes.

Because being “off” isn’t really time off when your mind is still answering messages, making decisions and running through tomorrow’s list.

And switching off doesn’t have to mean forcing yourself to stop thinking.
Sometimes it’s simply noticing where your mind has gone… and giving yourself a way back to where you actually are.

Your business can matter deeply to you without getting every minute of you and it should !

When do you find it hardest to switch off?

You sit down to finish the deadline due tomorrow and realise you’ve read the same sentence three times.

Or you’re halfway through a conversation with your partner and notice you’ve barely heard what they were saying.

Or you pick up your phone to do one thing and ten minutes later you’ve been scrolling

Sometimes I don’t need to understand why my mind is so busy.

I just need to give it something else to follow for a moment.

That’s one of the reasons I come back to my breath.

Just to interrupt the constant following of one thought into the next... and come back to what’s actually happening around me and inside of me.

Try it with the video.
And if you want to stay with it a little longer, Out of Your Head is my free 11-minute guided breathing practice for exactly these moments.

You’ll find it at the link in my bio.

I love exploring myself, learning, meditation, breathwork. Some of the experiences I’ve had through traditional medicine have changed my life.

I don’t want to stop being curious about myself.

But I also don’t want my whole life to become only a huge project of becoming better.

There has to be a point where I close the book.

Get up from

Go outside.

Call someone I love.

Swim in the ocean.

Laugh.

Do something completely pointless because I enjoy it.

Live.

Maybe the point of knowing ourselves better isn’t so we can find more things to work on.

Maybe some of it is so we can be here for more of the life we’re already in.

It’s easy for me to feel calm when I’m sitting quietly with my eyes closed.

The more interesting part is what happens when I am not practicing

When I read a message and immediately want to defend myself.

When someone says something that irritates me and I can already feel the reply forming before they’ve finished speaking.

When I recognise a pattern I know very well... while I’m right in the middle of repeating it.

I don’t expect meditation or breathwork to make those moments disappear.

And I definitely don’t expect myself to respond perfectly every time.

But maybe I notice what I’m doing a little sooner.

Maybe I take a breath before I send the reply.

Maybe I realise I’m having an entire argument in my head that hasn’t actually happened.

Maybe sometimes I choose differently.

That’s what I want from my practices.

Not to become really good at doing them.

I want them to show up in the way I actually live.

If you’re interested in living your live more fully rather than perfecting a practice, follow @pranava.breathwork.

For a long time, I thought meditation was something I just wasn’t very good at.

I was so busy noticing whether I was doing it “right” that I was still completely occupied by my mind.

Breathwork gave my attention something more tangible to follow.

And strangely, that helped me find my way back to meditation too.

I meditate every day now, I honestly didn’t learned how to stop thinking.

I just found my own way into the practice.

If you’ve tried meditation and spent half the time wondering whether you’re doing it right, I’m curious if this feels familiar.

I used to think breathwork meant doing a full breathwork session and sometimes I would stress myself out about finding the time for it and beat myself up if then I didn’t end up doing one…

But some of the ways I use my breath most now happens in much smaller moments.

In bed when my mind is still busy.

Before I meditate.

When I'm irritated or angry and my first instinct is to make the feeling go away.

I use my breath in all kinds of situations now, sometimes it’s almost automatic now, I don’t need to „log“ my session to have them count and matter.

I just want to give myself a few breaths before deciding what I need.

That's the relationship with breath I'm interested in.

Not having hundreds of practices to choose from.

Just having a few good ones you know when to reach for.

That's why I created A Breath for That... four guided breathing practices for different moments in your day.

It's $19 and you'll find it at the link in my bio.
