Suyal Bari | Adaptive Reuse | Nainital, Uttarakhand A glimpse from our recently completed project in Uttarakhand. An adaptive reuse of an 18th-century dharamshala located along the historic Indo-Tibet trade route in Suyal Bari. Reimagined as a highway restaurant, angling centre and a community museum, the project bridges heritage and contemporary use while keeping its original spirit intact. Within the fins | Industrial Office Building | Ahmedabad Designed as an office building within a larger factory complex, the building adopts a simple architectural language. The main façade is articulated through a rhythmic series of exposed concrete fins, each conceived as a planter for creepers that will gradually grow across the structure. Over time, the vegetation will soften the concrete façade, allowing the building to evolve with its landscape. At the heart of the building, a small internal courtyard cuts through the volume, bringing natural light and ventilation deep into the office spaces. A gaushala is not just a shelter for cattle. It is a space shared by animals, caretakers, and the larger landscape around them. The design needs to respond to all of these, creating comfort for the animals, dignity for the people who care for them, and a place that works naturally with its climate, materials and surroundings. A look at our approach to designing gaushalas. Ramgarh Villa | Residence | Nainital, Uttarakhand Perched in the quiet hills of Ramgarh, this retreat opens towards uninterrupted views of the snow-capped Himalayas, with a freshwater stream flowing gently alongside the site. The butterfly roof frames the landscape while robust stone walls anchor the home to its mountainous setting. Designed as a tourist retreat, the architecture celebrates the changing seasons, where every space remains connected to the surrounding forest, river and distant peaks.
