Pratt students are taking action for a greener campus with Pratt Envirolutions (@pratt_enviro).

The first waste audit of the main cafeteria collected around 24 pounds of waste—66% was compostable, 5% was recyclable, and 28% still ended up in the landfill. These findings highlight the need for better waste sorting and reduction efforts.

Be part of the movement for a more sustainable campus and community! Join us to kick of Pratt Earth Action Week at the next composting event happening on March 31st at 1PM at the PI Shop on the Pratt Institute Brooklyn Campus. Earth Action Week is March 31- April 6. Hit the link in our bio for more info.

Who wants to get their hands dirty to get composting on campus?

Join us and the dining hall to help with the dining hall trash audit! We will meet in the sustainability center on March 10th from 12-3 pm. RSVP with the QR code and get a sticker!

We are working towards a pilot composting program in the dining hall. A trash audit is our first step toward achieving our goals. We need the help of campus to make this happen so tell your friends and join us in bringing front-of-house composting to Pratt! by @pratt_enviro

Join us next Wednesday from 10-11 in the Sustainably Center for Tu Bishvat!

Tu Bishvat marked the “birthday of the trees” for ancient Jewish farmers. We invite all community members to join us in recognizing this Jewish holiday by gathering to consume the fruits of the tree. Together we will reflect on our relationship to the natural world and celebrate the agricultural work in our own community and around the world. by @pratt_enviro
