To the PIPSA Class of 2026… we actually did it. 🥹

The DPCs & Theses are submitted and summer can officially begin. It feels weird knowing there won’t be any more 10:50 p.m. classes, rushing to finish assignments, or pretending we weren’t all running on caffeine and deadlines.

A huge thank you to our PIPSA presidents for keeping us together through it all and creating a community that made the long nights and stressful semesters a little easier.

To everyone in our cohort, thank you for the memories, the laughs, the group chats, the late-night work sessions, and everything in between.

Here’s to new jobs, new cities, new projects, and whatever comes next. Wishing everyone nothing but success. Cheers to the next chapter. ❤️ @pratturbanplanning @prattgcpe by @prattpipsa

It’s been two weeks already since our mixer at Time Out Market. It turned into a full house of ideas, laughs, and “wait, what program are you in again?” moments. NYU, Pratt, Hunter, Columbia, Rutgers… all in one place, all slightly stressed, all very much outside.

Good to see everyone beyond our usual corners. If not next year, we’ll definitely catch you in the wild… probably mid-debate about zoning, transit, or someone’s thesis. by @prattpipsa

PIPSA is proud to celebrate our Co-Chair Max Scott for presenting at the Pratt Research Open House

Centro Habana, Cuba is one of Havana’s most deteriorated and overcrowded neighborhoods, yet it holds the highest concentration of endangered and unprotected architectural heritage in the city. This ongoing research project works to preserve that history through a comprehensive photographic archive and collaboration with Havana’s Office of the Historian to build a database for future researchers.

So far, this work has documented more than 15,000 buildings through over 20,000 photographs, creating the first-ever archive of its kind for Centro Habana. The project is now expanding into mapping historic patrimony at a scale never before done in Havana.

We are proud to see this work recognized and shared. by @prattpipsa

Last week, students and staff from the Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment (GCPE) @prattgcpe took a trip to the @streetlab warehouse in Redhook to learn about their exciting work and play with their modular street furniture!

Led by Leslie Davol, we built one very long table together - an exercise in collaboration that showed how simple design can bring people together. We brought snacks and spent some time eating, talking, and enjoying the space we created! by @prattpipsa

Planners on Ice ⛸️❄️

Here’s a lil recap from our ice skating day with PIPSA at Domino Park.

We had the best time gliding, laughing, and yes… holding the rails a little tight at first 😭

Special thanks to Isabel, @prattplacemaking alum from Pratt Institute, for hosting us at the Domino skating rink!

Look out for our next event 🫡 taken in Domino Park by @prattpipsa

Raised in San Francisco, Olivia’s love for cities grew from an early fascination with the people and stories that shape civic spaces. She studied Planning, Public Policy, and Management at the University of Oregon, where she focused on inclusive urbanism, placemaking, and creative, justice-driven approaches to planning.
