We can't wait to bring this event here to Prattville and the River Region! We'll be featuring 36 amazing authors from all over Alabama and beyond, as well as some fantastic vendors to shop during the event. We have official T-shirts for Fountain City Lit Con you can order! They're Comfort Color brand, available in 5 colors, and are $25 each. Sizes range from Small to 3X-Large. With the summertime nearing its end, it's almost time for my personal favorite season! 😍 We've got some fun meet-ups planned for the rest of the year. This fall is packed with fun opportunities to read, relax, and connect with fellow book lovers! Join us for one of our upcoming Autumn/Fall 2026 meet-ups. Some highlights include a busy month of October: featuring the always popular tea party at Smith-Byrd Tea Room, and the inaugural Fountain City Lit Con event, featuring 36 amazing authors and several bookish vendors. We'll also be meeting at a new place along with some other favorites. We plan to kick it all off with a game day on Labor Day weekend, so those in town can enjoy some fun and games as a small break from our usual reading. Start marking your calendars now! πŸ’” **An Update Regarding Tattoos at Fountain City Lit Con** It is with much disappointment that we share that Tattoo and Body Apothecary will no longer be able to join us at Fountain City Lit Con on Saturday the 17th. Unfortunately, some unexpected permitting and licensing requirements have come up that cannot be resolved in time for the event. This is a matter of timing and logistics, not a lack of enthusiasm or willingness on anyone's part. Both our team and Tattoo and Body Apothecary are incredibly disappointed that we won't be able to make this happen as planned. We were so excited to bring this unique experience to our book-loving community, and the incredible response to the announcement showed us just how excited you were, too! Please know that we share in that disappointment and sincerely hope to find another opportunity to work together in the future. πŸ’œ In the meantime, Fountain City Lit Con is obviously still happening, and we have an amazing day planned! With 38 talented authors and 4 fantastic vendors, there will be plenty of books to discover, new favorites to meet, and bookish fun to be had. We hope you'll still come out, show these amazing authors and vendors some love, and help us make this event a wonderful experience for everyone! And please continue to support Tattoo and Body Apothecary in their own space. We appreciate their willingness to be part of our event and look forward to the possibility of working together again.
