long time no see.

I have made quite some drawings of myself ever since I started illustrated journaling. It was inevitable since it is a daily practice and I've been spending a lot of the time in my own head (and it's not pleasant to be there so much).�

I cannot really write very honestly without somehow revealing a bit more of myself, something I have been trying not to. I'm unsure about how much of myself I want to reveal on the internet. I have become somewhat distrustful of it recently. But I do wanna write and also put what I write out there. And I have made some considerable effort in writing this caption as well.

��I had a similar experience with my journaling too. It got a bit too personal at times, stuff that I think I'd rather not have in a sketchbook that I intend to share on a public level. But then, other than this being just an exercise for me, I would also like to express myself through art as well. So this balance and intention is something that I will eventually figure out for myself, for now I am still trying to keep pouring myself into the process more than the outcome. Being an anxious person well aware and scared of the world has not really helped me do that so far, but I do intend to change that.

�And in writing, I intend to be honest as well. And the balance between intention and revelation has yet to be figured out. But the first step is to start writing more, which I am yet to arrive on.

oot and aboot in south bombay.

it was a lot of standing around in the afternoon sun, but the sun didn't feel too strong, the shades felt cooler, and actually no one gives a shit if you're standing with a sketchbook for 25 mins on the side of the road, trying your best to put your sight to ink. by @pratyuseless

the last couple of months have really slowed down my life. tho there are times of anxiety and confusion, but then a slower pace has def helped me a lot. and also, i really enjoy the work i do rn. i am learning a lot of things that I've always wanted to learn and trying to venture into fields that i wanted to. the comfort zone is non existent at this point and there is the existing pain of growth, but hey, i still love what i do and that itself keeps me on.
i would really like to share my sketches and art journey here but there's this mental barrier i need to break. can't wait to share without giving one single fuck about the quality and non-contextual opinions people have of it.
