I’m usually pretty private about my medical status, but today I feel led to share this because someone may need the reminder.

Today, I went in for a mammogram. For many women, it’s a routine annual appointment. For me, it comes with a different level of anxiety because I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. Both times, my cancer was caught early, and I know firsthand just how important early detection can be.

The days leading up to this appointment had me all over the place emotionally. Not because I don’t trust God—I absolutely do—but because past experiences have a way of reminding your mind and body of what you’ve already been through. Faith doesn’t mean we never feel fear or anxiety. It means we know where to take it when it comes.

That’s also why I’m sharing this today: Please pay attention to your body. Do your self-exams. Get your recommended screenings. And if something doesn’t look or feel right, say something.

A change in texture, unusual discharge, flaking or changes in the skin, swelling, irritation, itching, a lump, or simply something that feels different from what is normal for you deserves attention. Don’t dismiss it. Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.

But today… I PRAISE GOD! 🙌🏾

For the first time since 2017, I was able to walk in, have my mammogram, and walk out. No additional ultrasound. No immediate consultation with the physician. No staying behind for additional imaging.

Just a GOOD REPORT! 🙌🏾

I walked out grateful. Grateful for early detection. Grateful for another year. Grateful for the medical professionals who have cared for me along the way. And most of all, grateful to God for His continued grace and faithfulness.

Today, I’m not keeping this part of my story private because if sharing it encourages even one woman to schedule that mammogram, do that self-exam, or speak up about a change in her body, then it was worth sharing.

Early detection mattered in my story. Please make your health a priority in yours. 💗

Today was a great day for @purposedhealing! 💜

We had the opportunity to get out into the community, connect with some amazing people, and introduce our new MSW interns to another important side of social work and private practice—community engagement, networking, and marketing mental health services.

Our interns were able to earn field hours while gaining hands-on experience learning how to represent and market a mental health private practice, engage with community members, share resources, and build meaningful connections with other vendors and organizations.

Clinical skills are important, but learning how to build relationships, advocate for mental health, connect people to resources, and represent your organization in the community is part of professional development too!

A huge THANK YOU to @thetrifectaandcompany for providing this opportunity for Purposed Healing to participate and connect with the community. We appreciate the invitation and the space to promote healing, wellness, and access to mental health support.

Today was about learning, connecting, serving, and growing! 💜🌱

I’m grateful for every connection God has placed in my life. ❤️

There is something powerful about authentic connection, when the relationship is reciprocal, when we recognize the value in one another, and when we genuinely want to see each other flourish.

No competition. No comparison. No secret hate. No hidden agendas. Just authentic connection, mutual support, and room for everyone to grow.

The right connections don’t require you to dim your light so someone else can shine. They remind us that we can all bloom together.

When we pour into one another, encourage one another, challenge one another, and celebrate one another, we create space for development, growth, and purpose.

I’m learning to value the people God has connected me to in every season. Some connections teach us. Some stretch us. Some support us. Some inspire us. And some simply remind us that we were never meant to do life alone.

Here’s to authentic connections, reciprocal relationships, and blooming right where God has planted us. #AuthenticConnections #GratefulForMyCircle #BloomWhereYouArePlanted #NoCompetitionJustConnection #PurposefulRelationships by @praznlade

👑 The Queen City Owes Me NOTHING! ❤️🤍

The 32nd South Atlantic Regional Conference was GREAT! From conducting the business of Delta to sisterhood, service, social action, fellowship, laughter, and unforgettable moments, Charlotte did not disappoint!

There were so many highlights, but a special one was unexpectedly running into @eyeopenerjah During my Fayetteville days, I had the privilege of pouring into her as a youth, while also learning from her. To reconnect years later, witness her growth in Christ and in life, and now call her Soror was truly a full-circle blessing.

Meeting Soror Joan Trumpauer Mulholland was another honor. I purchased her book and love that the proceeds support students attending HBCUs, a beautiful example of service, scholarship, and investing in the next generation.

And what a way to close! We ended in praise and worship with Byron Cage, followed by a powerful message from Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley, Pastor of Alfred Street Baptist Church. I left spiritually FULL!

This conference reminded me why sisterhood, service, and social action matter. Sisterhood connects us. Service calls us to uplift others. Social action challenges us to use our voices to create meaningful change.

I came to conduct Delta business and left with new memories, meaningful connections, renewed commitment to the work, and a full heart and spirit. ❤️

Queen City, you owe me NOTHING! 👑❤️🤍
Until next time!

Some weeks my plate is so full that I don’t have time to post, but that doesn’t mean the work has stopped.

I’ve learned that balance doesn’t always mean equal time. Sometimes it means giving my best to what matters most in each season.

My life is rooted in faith, family, work, business, and serving the community through church and sorority. Every role comes with responsibility, but each one also gives me the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.

So if you don’t see me posting as often, know that I’m likely pouring into people, building something meaningful, serving where I’m called, or simply being present with those who matter most.

Not every impact is posted.
Not every assignment is public.
But the work is still getting done.

Keep showing up. Keep serving. Keep making a difference, even when no one is watching. 🔺

Don’t Let Your Testimony Fade Into Forgetfulness

Life has a way of making us focus on today’s battles while causing us to forget yesterday’s victories. The prayers God answered. The doors He opened. The healing He brought. The peace He gave. The promises He fulfilled.

The psalmist made a deliberate decision:
“I will remember… I will meditate… I will talk of Your deeds.” (Psalm 77:11–12)

Notice these are intentional actions—not passive ones.

When you remember God’s faithfulness, your faith is strengthened.
When you meditate on His promises, your perspective changes.
When you declare His works, you encourage someone else who may be waiting on God to do for them what He’s already done for you.

Your testimony is more than a story—it’s evidence that God is still faithful.

Today, don’t just ask God for the next blessing. Pause and thank Him for the ones He’s already given. Speak about His goodness. Share His faithfulness. Encourage yourself, and encourage someone else.

Remember. Meditate. Declare. Repeat.

“I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.” — Psalm 77:11–12 (NKJV)

Many know what it feels like to stand at the edge of giving up. To pray while hurting. To believe while waiting. To smile while carrying burdens no one else can see.

David declared, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13 NKJV)

That means your story isn’t over. God’s goodness isn’t reserved for heaven alone, it can meet you right here, in the middle of your waiting, your healing, your uncertainty, and your journey.

If you’re tempted to lose heart today, choose to believe anyway. Hold on a little longer. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep moving forward.

The same God who has been faithful before will be faithful again.

Don’t lose heart. Your testimony may be one act of faith away from revealing the goodness of God.

Trusting God in the Fire. Some fires aren’t meant to destroy you, they’re meant to reveal the faithfulness of God.

There are moments when the tears won’t stop, the answers don’t come, and the weight feels too heavy to carry. Yet even in those moments, God has not abandoned you. He is present in the fire, strengthening you one step at a time.

Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted God in the furnace, we are reminded that our confidence isn’t in the absence of trials, it’s in the presence of our Savior.

If you’re walking through a difficult season today, don’t lose heart. The same God who walks into the fire with His children is walking with you. He sees every tear, hears every prayer, and His promises have not changed.

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us.” — Daniel 3:17 (NLT)

Today, choose faith over fear. Trust over doubt. Hope over despair.

You are not alone in the fire. God is with you, and He is faithful.

Stop chasing spot reduction—it doesn’t work.

You can’t choose where your body burns fat. The transformation you’re looking for comes from training your entire body consistently and intentionally.

That means:
✔️ Working every major muscle group.
✔️ Changing your weights as you get stronger.
✔️ Switching up your reps and sets to challenge your body in new ways.
✔️ Progressively pushing beyond what has become comfortable.

If you do the exact same workout week after week, your body adapts—and once it adapts, your progress slows.

Growth happens when your body is given a reason to change.

Train smarter. Lift with purpose. Stay consistent. The results you’re praying for are built one workout at a time.

For a long time, I struggled with forgiveness because I was so focused on how deeply I had been wronged. I replayed the words. I remembered the actions. I carried the hurt with me everywhere I went, believing that holding on somehow protected me.

What I didn’t realize was that unforgiveness was causing me even more pain. It stole my peace, influenced my relationships, and changed how I viewed people. I was seeing others only through the lens of what they had done to me.

Then God began to change my heart.

He reminded me that while people are responsible for the hurt they cause, they are still human—flawed, broken, and in need of grace, just like I am.

I had to ask myself: How many times have I needed forgiveness? How many times has God extended grace to me when I didn’t deserve it?

That realization changed everything.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean they were right. It doesn’t erase the pain, excuse the behavior, or remove accountability. It means I refuse to let what happened to me continue to imprison me.

Today, I choose forgiveness because I choose freedom. I choose peace. I choose healing.

One of the greatest signs that healing has taken place is when you can see the humanity in the person who hurt you without minimizing what they did.

5:00 AM Cardio. 💪🏽 Lunch Break Strength Training. 🔥

Discipline isn’t built in the moments when it’s convenient. It’s built in the moments when you could make an excuse, but choose not to.

This morning started with cardio before the sun came up. By lunchtime, it was time to build strength. Every workout is another deposit into the woman I’m becoming.

I’m not just chasing a number on a scale—I’m building endurance, resilience, consistency, and a lifestyle that honors the body God has entrusted to me.

The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is progress.
The mission isn’t to compete with anyone else. It’s to become stronger than I was yesterday.

Keep showing up.
Keep putting in the work.
Your future self will thank you.

From 5 AM cardio to lunchtime strength training… I am staying committed. One workout. One choice. One day at a time. ❤️🏋🏽‍♀️
