If there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself, I don’t fit neatly into any box.

I believe in the power of community, in understanding others, and in the beauty of diversity.

But here’s the thing — often, I find myself in this peculiar place of being “too Christian” for the World, yet “too different” for ‘church’ people. I’ve been told I don’t fit the mold of what a ‘church person’ should be.

To that, I say: Yes, I am a Christian, and yes, my faith is unapologetically a big part of who I am. But it’s not about fitting into anyone’s expectations. It’s about living out a faith that’s real, practical, and deeply rooted in conviction.

I believe in what Paul the apostle said in 1stCorin. 14:40 — “Let all things be done decently and in order.” I respect doctrines and principles; I believe in honoring what is sacred. But I also believe in being true to the person God has made me to be, even when that means embracing the unconventional.

This journey isn’t about fitting into a mold; it’s about following a conviction that drives me to love deeper, live better, and stand for truth, no matter how messy or unconventional that may look.

So, here I am; A believer, a thinker, a creative, and an unashamedly imperfect human trying to live out a faith that transforms and to live by conviction, not by convenience.

A physical training and not a YouTube class as I am so accustomed to when it comes to learning.

@shuttersnetwork Network Intentional in partnership with @canonnigeriacommunity made this possible, and I didn’t have to pay a dime asides my transportation to the training space.

I saw people in their tens troop into a hall, and I followed. Upon opening the doors, I was smiled at by a stranger who was so happy to see me (who you?).

I was given a crop top sized branded polo to wear just so I do not look odd, and she whispered, ‘you are the organizer’s special guest from Abuja; you’d have to sit in front on the couch’.

Ah! Couch ke, when every one is sitting on a back-rest chair, I went to the back and did the opening-of-doors duty.

The organizer came, felt so bad I sat there, dragged me to take pictures, dragged me to the front, forced popcorn on me, forced Mocktail down my throat, shoved a movie screen to my eyes, and there I was wondering how following a group of people upstairs would change the course of my evening.
