**My shop name: Penguin-tachi!**
🐧🎀💖

When we visited bird sanctuaries and different aquariums in Japan, we noticed the staff would often refer to their colony of penguins as "Penguin-tachi," or sometimes "penguin-san" and "penguin-sama." Even though I took Japanese language classes in school, I had not heard the "tachi" suffix applied to animals before.

("Tachi" (達) is a suffix that can pluralize a noun and has its roots in formal/respectful language in Japanese. It is most common in words like "tomodachi" (friend) and "watashitachi" (we))

I admired that these titles were used freely for animals and weren't just reserved for humans. I've always loved animals, both wild and domestic. And with penguins being my first love, when I heard "penguin-tachi" spoken, it just made sense. Even though it literally means "the penguins," it encompasses what I hold dear, and the promise to respect even the smallest things.

We are all penguin-tachi! 🩷🐧🐧🐧🩷

I'm finally back with another print and photocard duo! This time it's Zayne from Love and Deepspace (and he forgot his shirt, just like Xavier).
This felt timely due to Zayne's JP voice actor being replaced in July. It's a shame because I felt like his JP voice fit him perfectly! I hope his replacement can do our doctor justice.

The foil details for the photocard this time around are snowflakes in silver holo! ❄️🐧

I'm back with more rosettes for Bonded to You on June 20th (in just a few days)!
I'm taking baby steps to fancier rosettes and added some more details this time 🎀💖🐧 Each rosette has some iridescent ribbon thrown in, and everything is still hand-sewn with double faced ribbon (including the tiny bows) 💕

My "first" art print, featuring Xavier from Love and Deepspace 🌠🐧💖

I'm starting out small with 4 x 6 inch prints and a photocard version with foiling! I currently do all the foiling myself, including the vectors/paths that the foiling follows. (I even made a custom star from scratch because there were no stock stars that looked quite right!)

For Xavier I couldn't help but add a bit of ✨ sparkle ✨
I used gold and silver holographic dots, and, of course, a shooting star fit him perfectly.

I'm excited to explore more with art prints in combination with foiling in the future 🐧🎀

Rosette Window stickers! (Can you tell I really like rosettes? 🐧🎀)

I'm bringing back window stickers in full force. But this time, I added foiling! It's not super apparent in the photo, but the text is foiled with a unique color and font for each love interest in Love and Deepspace. (I think the foil is much prettier in person!)

Foil colors:
Xavier - soft lavender
Zayne - cobalt blue
Rafayel - pastel pink
Sylus - holographic silver
Caleb - holographic gold

Heat foiling is a new process for me, but I have so many more ideas on how to utilize it. I also have versions of these stickers without the text foiling, so they can be applied to any character/game/hobby/situation 🐧💖

One of my favorite forms of "slow art" is hand-sewing (even the more intricate parts like pleating, forming bows, and stitching edges). I also really love ribbon, so sewing ribbon rosettes is something I really enjoy.

These are some more simple rosettes I've been working on the past couple of weeks. The center has a strip of ribbon for easily pinning on button badges, but things like hair clips with horizontal clips can also be attached. There's a brooch pin on the back of each rosette, along with a ring clasp, so they can be pinned to a shirt and worn, or act as a keychain on a bag. I wanted to make them versatile!

In the future I'm hoping to make more extravagant versions that are traditionally seen with ita bags! I've made some of these before for personal use, but they naturally take a lot more time.

The colors for these particular rosettes were inspired by the men in the Love and Deepspace universe 🌌🎀

I had a lot of fun being involved with the freebies this time, so it was a really memorable experience.

(Xavier is my favorite LI, but I struggled more with his face this time. I'm hoping to draw him more in the future🐧✨)
