The countdown to PCU Woodlands continues, and next up in our instructor spotlights is Westcott Top Pro Julie Gayler! 📸

Here are a few of my favorite frames from the lighting and posing classes I taught over the weekend at Precision Camera in Austin. Black and white renditions are great at showing what happens when you remove color and let shape, contrast and expression carry the image.

Thank you to our models, Liz and Jorden for bringing energy and trust to every setup. Posing is a conversation, and they made it easy to show how a small change in the hands, shoulders or chin changes the whole story of a portrait.

Thank you to the Precision Camera team for hosting, and to every photographer who came ready to learn, ask questions and get behind the camera.

If you want portraits that show you at your best, I bring this same approach to every session in my Houston studio. You get lighting built for your face, direction so you never have to guess what to do with your hands, and images you will be proud to use. Lerarn more at angilewis.com.
