It’s been so long…since I promised house content, and here it is! A sneak peek of the bathroom, the only one you’ll get until it’s finished and dressed! 😜

The past few months have been all about getting that done and restoring all the upstairs floors. It has been HARD, there have been setbacks outside of our control, cold weather with no heating and limited time to work on the place.

We were trying to save a few grand by doing this, but god damn, it takes absolutely aaaaagggeeessss!!! We did some of it in the wrong order, and probably shouldn’t have bothered sanding until we had filled the gaps between boards. Oh well, we’re first timers and learning!

We’ve put some colour samples on the wall to see what we’re drawn to. It’s nice to think ahead to decorating and dressing, which is the part I live for!

Huge shout out to T, who has been working relentlessly to try and get things done, even after a long day’s work. The renovation wouldn’t have gotten this far without him 💖 by @preena.life

“Maybe one day you will have your own studio.”

Words spoken by my teacher, Susanna Foustok, during one of our mentoring sessions.

At the time, I couldn’t quite imagine it, and everyday I’m overjoyed with everything that has come from hearing those words for the very first time.

And now years later, Susanna stands inside the very studio she had once encouraged me to believe was possible.

Grateful to have my journey into Contrology and the opening of Amanahbody published in
Pure Journal, Volume 2.

Still a student. Always learning.

PART 2 ~ 15.06.19 ~ the wedding ♥️ my little sis looked stunning 😍 and the groom looked alright 🤣😝

I think we woke up around 4am on this day to get our hair and makeup done 😭 then off to the venue to meet guests and have the ceremony! It all went unbelievably fast. You spend months planning and thinking about it, then it’s over in a flash!

The wedding was followed my the Betak, which is essentially a meal with extended family but it turned into a little bit of a party, which was fun! And that was it! Not sure if we will have such a big event again, but we got to experience it here ♥️

Continuing to post the contents of my phone gallery and kicking off with my little sister’s wedding in 2019. This was our first family wedding and South Asian weddings are a big affair! It was so lovely to have all our extended family around for a while to celebrate with us, as we barely see them otherwise but it was bloody tiring! We barely got any sleep that week, and I remember my Aunty sending us up for a nap because she could see we were exhausted. Something I will always be grateful for! ♥️ It was a week full of people in and out of the house, cooking, pooja, prayers, singing, catch ups, gifts, making paper flowers, making garlands, running around and getting the bride ready. Wales PART 2 ~ 19.05.2019

We stayed in a lovely little village called Aberporth and ventured out to Poppit Sands Beach one day. We then started walking along the coastal path, which was beautiful as you can see. We didn’t get very far, but we had such a great time!

3. Can’t remember why I was holding a spoon, probably hoping to get fed.

Now, this is a story all about how
Our lives got flipped-turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how we became trapped in a farmer’s field with toxic air

So, on our beautiful trip to Wales in May 2019, we decided to have a bbq and we found a farm shop on maps nearby. We decided to walk as it didn’t seem far, led by our navigator Adam. It was all uphill, not as close as we thought and we were led to a field with an open gate. We strolled in, as soon as our feet hit it I noticed the smell, disgusting! Absolutely toxic, didn’t know what it was. I couldn’t see a way out of the field in the distance so looked around. I saw a farmer in his tractor on a field in the near distance, he spotted us. The next thing we knew, he was blasting it up to the field where we were in a rage, and then proceeded to spray a huge amount of this toxic shit across the opening to the field so we couldn’t get out without getting it all over us. Also gave us the finger, apparently. How rude!! It was an honest mistake, we were lost and there were no signs to say it was private. We eventually went to another part of the field, climbed over the wall and made it to the farm shop where the lovely folks there let us have some free animal therapy after our traumatic journey.
