A façade in tune with water and light 🌊 Like a glint of light on the sea: the façade of the Envirocentre in Nitra lends the building an extraordinary atmosphere. ✨ PREFA extruded profiles envelop the research laboratory like a shimmering skin. Their undulating structure references the building’s themes: water, movement and natural cycles. 🙌 The concealed-screw aluminium façade appears homogeneous and almost endless. From a special request to a new standard 😎 The Riffian Education Centre demonstrates how a unique vision can give rise to a forward-looking project. The nursery school roof, completed in 2020, was the first PREFA roof in the special colour bronze and laid the foundations for what is now an established PREFA surface. 🎉 For the primary school built later, the colour was already available as part of the PREFA range. The Riffian Education Centre sets new standards. ✨ In South Tyrol, the Riffian Education Centre has created a special place for the community’s youngest members. Höller & Klotzner Architects have designed a space that combines a nursery and a primary school. 🙌 The building complex was realised in two phases and blends harmoniously into the landscape. Built for the mountains. 🏔️ Haus Immi’s exposed location places high demands on the building envelope. The roof, in particular, must withstand extreme conditions whilst reliably generating energy. 😎 Both the PREFA solar roof panels and the R.16 roof tile are designed to withstand heavy loads and can support snow loads of up to 1,000 kilograms per square metre. The roof thus combines robustness, safety and sustainability in a single structure.💪 The implementation also followed the principle of sustainability. The PREFA solar roof was installed by @bejos_spenglerei_dornbirn, whose team is thoroughly familiar with the local geographical conditions. When every detail counts 🧐 Behind the clean-lined architecture of Maisons Jumelles lies a high standard of craftsmanship. CLB Couverture Le Blaye carried out the roof and façade work – paying particular attention to clean lines and precise details. 👏 Overhang-free eaves, a projecting ridge and precisely finished window reveals characterise the building’s appearance. Combined with the internal drainage system, this has created a building envelope that unites technical function with aesthetic precision. 👌 The staggered arrangement of the building volumes and the seamless installation of the PREFALZ standing seam cladding across the roof and façade presented particular challenges. Architecture in Dialogue: Two houses that speak to one another. 🫶 The strength of Maisons Jumelles lies in its consistent design. Two almost identical structures engage in a fascinating dialogue: one house in P.10 pure white, the other in black grey. Together, they make a striking architectural statement. 💪 The two structures, arranged in a slightly offset configuration, are connected by a shared space. This has created a place for encounters. 🙌 Internal, the surroundings define the concept. The living areas on the upper floor open out onto the natural backdrop of woodland, quarry cliffs and coastal landscape. 😎 PREFALZ standing seam made this architectural clarity possible in the first place. Two houses, one idea 🤩 On the Breton coast in Belz, Maisons Jumelles is a residential complex that uniquely combines regional building traditions with contemporary architecture. The two houses appear to be opposites, yet form a harmonious whole. 🙌 Inspired by classic Breton fishermen’s cottages, Anne-Charlotte and Jean-François Riguidel drew on familiar proportions and forms. Black and white, wood and aluminium, together with the clean-lined roof shape, create an architectural design that respects its heritage whilst breaking new ground. 👏 The use of PREFALZ standing seam on the roof and façade has brought the traditional design language into the present day.
