Meet the Teacher: my name is Tabitha, but my students call me Ms. Quinn ❤️. I’m a Pre-K teacher in the Houston area that is passionate about education. One of the things I love about teaching Pre-K is that it is the foundation of a child’s education journey and I have the opportunity to shape that, as well as help them in their social/emotional development. I first started my education career in 2012 teaching Preschool at a charter school in North Houston, then as a SPED para in an ISD, and now a Pre-K teacher! I wanted to create a professional IG to network with other educators as well as educate/help parents about Early Childhood Education. by @prekchronicles_quinn

STEM activity 🐛: during the months of March and April, my students learned about all things insects/animals. My students were so excited to raise caterpillars in their class. We kept 2 milkweed plants in a butterfly habitat net. My students were able to see the 4 stages of a butterfly: egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly. When the butterflies were strong enough to be on their own, we released them outside 🦋 #Science #PreK by @prekchronicles_quinn

Science Art Activity: Bird Nest 🪹. This week’s theme is our theme was All About Birds. To tie in Science and Art my students made a bird nests using bowls, cotton balls, and tearing brown & green construction paper. I squeezed glue inside the bowls and my students added the materials how they wanted their nests to look. The first picture is my example. #PreK #Science #art by @prekchronicles_quinn
