11 years since Premam 🦋

The 2015 Malayalam blockbuster Premam, written, directed, and edited by Alphonse Puthren, is a cult-classic coming-of-age romantic drama that became a massive cultural phenomenon across South India. The film chronicles the life of George David, effortlessly portrayed by Nivin Pauly, tracing his emotional evolution, heartbreaks, and personal growth across three distinct phases of his life: his innocent teenage crush on Mary (Anupama Parameswaran), his intense college romance with his guest lecturer Malar (Sai Pallavi), and his eventual mature adulthood love with Celine (Madonna Sebastian). Beyond its beautifully grounded narrative on the bittersweet nature of love and the endurance of childhood friendships, Premam is widely celebrated for its realistic visual storytelling, side-splitting situational comedy, and its chart-topping, atmospheric soundtrack composed by Rajesh Murugesan. Produced on a modest budget of ₹4 crore, it shattered box office records to gross over ₹73 crore, achieving an incredible 300-day theatrical run in Tamil Nadu and solidifying its legacy as one of the most enduring, endlessly rewatchable masterpieces in Malayalam cinema.

The Puthren's perspective of Sweet and Music combined to deliver love!

The melodious way of combining the violin's music to the layers of red velvet left a note in the audience's heart.
From Nivin's eyes to smile everything revolved around the love with the adorable piece of violin note.

The music remained the main ingredient to George's love, from Celin's first bite to enjoying the Red Velvet to it's fullest, like a cake music defined George's love layer by layer 🎻❤️.
