I wrote this in 2020, and unfortunately, am bringing it back. I added one line today. Read this and think.
""
America is selfish.
For a country that preaches freedom and equality, there really isn't much of that.
A country who claims to love all.
A country with much more pride than any other.
America is selfish.
A country that believes a virus that is affecting the entire world is made up.
A country that thinks no bad can happen.
A country that believes only one religion matters.
A country who holds every single cuisine, but hates those who provide it.
America is selfish.
A country that pours their money into sports and takes it from teachers, doctors, and those in need.
A country that worships celebrities and athletes.
A country who makes money by making fun of others.
A country who worships a president who spews hate.
A country who believes patriotism is the only way to live.
America is selfish.
A country who spews hatred to anyone they don't agree with.
A country who believes that human rights are political.
A country that is pro-life but only when they think it matters.
A country who puts children in cages.
A country who only uses women when it is to the gain of men.
A country built from immigrants.
A country who hates immigrants.
A country with no equal rights.
A country where skin tone does matter.
A country where white is right.
A country who worships murderers.
A country who hates women.
A country where those who are meant to protect you, kill you.
A country that encourages free speech but dismisses the younger generations.
A country that believes they are superior to every other one.
A country full of hypocrites.

Mimi Marquez 💖
Feel like I could happily retire after doing this dream role with this amazing group of people.

Cannot thank @matthewhayes05, @emilykdennis, & @meganrc13 enough for giving me the gift of this role. Forever indebted to the three of you.

Incredibly grateful to every single person who came & to see me in this role and for all of the kind words. Endlesssss love for this cast & crew.

Apologies to anyone who has to hear me talking about this show for the rest of my life.

Heart incredibly full. No day but today.
