Can we all give these @azpreps365 refs and others like them a HUGE thanks? Each of them has gone through an FBI fingerprint background check to keep our kids safe, regularly studies the rules and mechanics of each sport that they officiate to try and keep the game fun and fair, and they probably do more running than any individual player on the field since they are always next to each play for the the entire game. Are they imperfect humans? Yes! Do they have more experience and training, less bias, and a closer view to what actually happened than spectators? Also a yes! Please join me in showing our appreciation to all officials in the comments section. Because while the AIA rules prevent them from talking to us, nothing stops us from thanking them. Inappropriate comments will be deleted, and if made by a coach or student-athlete, forwarded to your school’s athletic director. Go, Refs!

You just had to be there to truly appreciate:

- A jam packet visitors section that overflowed out of the stands and down the entire fence line.

- The strategies employed to stop the clock when our Badgers needed every second they could get.

- The decision to truly go big or go home in those final few plays.

- The positive sportsmanship, all the way through to a post-game celebration.

- The extra traditions on display, like Zane the Badger beating the bear in a 40-yard dash.

The Badgers finished their regular season tonight as the undefeated Grand Canyon Region Champs after a 31 to 28 win at Bradshaw Mountain! It was an incredible game to watch. At one point, while facing an 11-point deficit, I heard one of the coaches yell “it ain’t over yet, boys!” Two incredible touchdowns soon followed, including one in the final few seconds of the game! ENG 101 students put their critical thinking skills to the test with the Balloon Tower Challenge! Working in teams, students had to define an assigned word, establish three measurable criteria, and build a tower that proved their definition was valid. With limited supplies and just 20 minutes, the real challenge wasn't building the tower. It was defending their decisions with evidence.

Some towers stood tall. Others wobbled. But every group discovered an important lesson about argumentative writing: It's not enough to make a claim. You have to prove it. 🎈 by @prescottbadgers

Lots of celebrations at yesterday’s 48-0 win for the JV Badgers Flag Football team. And some great fall colors in the background. Great job, girls! Full gallery posted to SportsYou. by @prescottbadgers
