The last light of the day streaking through the trees at Presidio Golf Course in San Francisco, painting the landscape in deep oranges and rich greens. Fairways wind through towering trees, shadows stretch across the course, and the fading sun creates a golden glow that feels worlds away from the bustling city just beyond the gates. One of San Francisco’s classic golf courses, where the beauty of the natural landscape and the game’s timeless traditions come together in a setting unlike any other. A little peace and quiet in the heart of the city, just before the sun disappears for the day. #PresidioGolfCourse #SanFranciscoGolf #GolfCoursePhotography #GoldenHour #SanFranciscoPhotography by @presidiogolfcourse

Presidio Golf Course | San Francisco, CA @presidiogolfcourse Opened in 1895 as a nine-hole course on a U.S. Army post, Presidio expanded to 18 holes in 1910 and eventually opened to the public in 1995. One of the oldest courses west of the Mississippi. Pretty cool to have a course with that much history right in the heart of a major city. Don’t get as pure as this in major cities accross the country. Awesome track. Really fun course. A little quirky, but a fair test of golf. The massive hills and undulation make it unique, winding through the trees with some pretty views of the city. You can tell the course has been here for a long time because the vegetation is awesome. Greens were pure, bunkers around the greens were excellent, and the par 3s were awesome. My favorite hole might have been the somewhat quirky par 5 2nd. A blind approach into a really cool, small green protected by bunkers. A unique and fun hole that captured the feel of the course pretty well. At times, the massive undulation takes away from some of the strategy off the tee, but there really aren’t many courses like this. Quick pace of play and immaculate vibes made for a great day out there. Only thing missing is an iconic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Although I fear if it had that, you’d be looking at a course that costs 4x as much. For a public course in the heart of San Francisco, or any major city I might add, not much more you can ask for. Got paired with the reigning Club Champion @cambu_golfs which helped navigate course. That man can golf. I’ll be back - put it on your list by @presidiogolfcourse

San Francisco deserves a spot on every golfer’s travel list. If you’re planning a golf trip to the City by the Bay, these are two courses I’d put on your itinerary: ⛳️ @tpchardingpark — home of the 2020 PGA Championship and a championship-caliber test of golf. 🌲 @presidiogolfcourse — a historic gem where you can play among towering trees right in the heart of San Francisco. Two completely different experiences imo but both worth playing. But I want to hear from the locals and golfers who’ve been here… WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE GOLF COURSE IN SAN FRANCISCO? My secret to planning a golf trip? Don’t make it just about golf. On a recent weekend trip to San Francisco, I built the trip around something else I love, then added a great golf course like @presidiogolfcourse , right in the heart of the city, along with good food and places worth exploring. Watching my favorite team play at beautiful Oracle Park? ⚾️ Golf near the hotel? ⛳️ Good food and cool places to hang out? Absolutely. 🍜🍻 Why settle for one experience when you can get more out of the same trip? POLL: How do you usually plan your golf trips? by @presidiogolfcourse
✈️ Fleet Week Traffic Alert: If you’re playing Presidio this weekend, please plan ahead and arrive early! Expect heavy traffic and road closures beginning at noon Saturday and Sunday. We recommend allowing an extra 30–45 minutes of travel time. Arguello Gate will remain open for golfers. We look forward to seeing you on the course! ⛳️ by @presidiogolfcourse
