This season didn’t end the way any of us imagined or the way we know it should have. We dreamed of playing side by side until we graduated, making every last memory together on the field we called home. It’s hard to accept that our last game came so much sooner than any of us were ready for, because none of us were ready to say goodbye. Thank you to my coaches who believed in me when they knew I needed it. Thank you for always pushing me to my fullest potential.

These girls became so much more than teammates—they became my family. They picked me up on my hardest days, celebrated every little victory with me, and gave me some of the best memories I’ll ever have. They’ve shaped me into the player I am, but more importantly, they’ve shaped the person I’m becoming. I don’t know who I’d be without every practice, every car ride, every laugh, every tear, and every moment we shared together. Thank you! taken in Des Moines, Iowa by @preslee_002
