It truly never gets any easier with each passing year to miss you. Each year feels unreal. Each year I’m mourning the loss of the future I thought I had ahead of me, you supporting me each step of the way. I’m jealous of each life milestone others get to share with their dads. I wish we got the same opportunity.

There isn’t a day that goes by that you’re not on my mind. I carry you with me, even realizing just how much I am like you - in my mannerisms, my sense of humor, or the way I smile.
