my week in chicago with @dupreedance was seriously nothing short of amazing- and because of that i am going have to split up my post!

All glory to God🫶🏻

If you have been following along with my personal life this last month or so, you would know on January 1st, right at midnight I was hit my eye due to a firework malfunction. I was immediately rushed to the ER and was there from 12:30am all the way until around 1pm the same day. My eye suffered from chemical burns, due to the gunpowder-it was swollen, my eyelashes and eyebrows were signed, and my vision was impaired. I will definitely say that this was something that has changed my look on everything-Literally.
I completely acknowledge the fact that I am extremely lucky, considering all the “what ifs” that could have happened if my eye was hit only an inch over. The reality of the situation set in with me, and I realize that I am EXTREMELY fortunate that I had my phone in my hand taking the initial impact, who knows what could of happened if I didn’t.
How I am standing before you today is not by my work, but by God’s. I will never really know why God wanted me to go through this. I do know that I had to trust Him a lot through this process. I will say the healing process is going way better than I could ask for- But I will not pretend like it is just easy to find the silver lining in all of this-Lots of late anxiety-filled nights, more eyedrops then you could imagine, tears, confusion, and hurt. It is something very real and scary. Even after that though, I know that it is all happening for a reason.
A lot of questions popped up in my head initially- Do I have an eyeball? Am I ever going to see again? Am I going to able to dance again? I am blessed to be able say that as i’m typing this I have been on stage for several competitions- including UDA nationals! And I was able to quickly go back to my weekly training! How blessed am I that I still get to perform even after all of this? THANK YOU JESUS! I am so grateful. Every performance that I see those lights and hear the music is just a little sweeter.
Thank you to each of you for your prayers and support throughout this whole process! My vision is very close to being completely healed, Remember to trust God. Count your blessings- everything could change in a blink of an eye. by @presleyebarb

Somebody To Love ♥️✨

Here she is y’all! Honestly I think for this I’m mostly just going to let this dance speak for itself. I do want everyone to know the journey that this past season has taken me on was one I hold so close to my heart! Not knowing if you’re going to be able to dance the same way ever again because of an accident is scary- but not taking risks and not showing your passion and not showing your love is even scarier.
Remember that you are capable of being loved by others and that being authentically yourself is what matters to the ones that matter!

dupree dance nationals 2026 💌

I want to start this off by saying I am so fueled by the immense amount of joy, gratitude, inspiration, and kindness this nationals left me with.
My hope is that I made half the impression on the wonderfully created people that I got to working with, take class with, and learn from.

Thank you to @alex.ware20 for such an incredible opening number experience. You created such a safe and engaging environment. I said it before and i’ll say it again, I’m so happy that I got to be a small part in your journey! I want you to know I had so much fun bringing your vision to life. Another huge thank you goes out to @keiragestel @averyclapp_ @skylar__peterson for being another huge reason why this experience was so smooth and fun! Thank you guys for being such great mentors, and people to look up to🫶🏻

And to my friends I made along the way of my opening number experience, I adore you all! I’m so happy our paths crossed when they did. Miss y’all!

My next thank you goes out to ALL of the faculty! You guys are the main reason my week was so amazing. Each of you made an impact on me and I feel so excited about continuing to grow! Thank you guys for your wisdom, grace, and energy. The amount of love poured into this organization really really shows. I’m so grateful and lucky that I get to be a small part of representation after being named a title holder!
A special thank you to @meggywaystins for my judges award for honesty and vulnerability- honestly, thank you so much for understanding me :)

@kdanceanderson and Mr. Zack you have created such a special and magical organization. I’m so excited to be able to see Dupree in more than one city! Thank you for everything 🫶🏻

To my PGDC family, Thank you guys for all your love and support this week. Thank you to my dance moms and teachers for stepping in a taking care of me- getting all my pictures!! It really does take a village. special thank you goes to @sara_lucie_ and Ms. Jamie, really don’t think I would’ve made it through the week without y’all, thank you for being there for me! Love all of you guys🩷
